  1. We're having an odd problem with the audio system in our 2012 Edge. I primarily drive this car and always have the audio system on; usually when I start the car up after stopping, it will remember what I was listening to (Sirius, USB, etc) and return there. But often when my husband starts the car, the audio system won't come on -- it displays an Audio Off message after the car goes through its startup sequence. What's worse is that the buttons to turn on the audio system are disabled. The only way to get it to turn on is to use voice commands. This problem doesn't occur when I drive the car, only when my husband does, and it doesn't happen all the time for him, only sometimes. Also, every so often the audio system will start up in A/V mode - which we never use. This also only happens when hubby drives the car. We thought perhaps the car's startup sequence is affected by his pushing the seat settings button, but he has tried delaying pushing this button until after audio comes on and it doesn't appear to make a difference. Could there be something in his key causing this? Could it be his greater weight on the seat? Why does the Edge react differently when he drives?
  2. This is driving me crazy. The voice-activated nav system on our 2012 Edge has never recognized the city we live in, which is the third or fourth largest in the state of Illinois. I say "Rockford" and it keeps trying to fill in Rockport or Lockport or even Oregon (all much smaller towns). If I type in the location I'm seeking or use sync services, all is fine, but if I am driving around and want to find an address in my town using the voice commands, fuhgeddaboutit. I had MFT upgraded by the dealership a few months ago; this upgrade was supposed to include a nav update. I suppose i will need to take this back to the dealer, but I am curious whether anybody can get their nav system to hear Rockford as Rockford, or have any other suggestions for me? Thanks!
  3. I have a flashdrive with songs copied from my Mac's iTunes folder (artist>album>song). These songs generally play OK on my 2012 Edge. However, I want to organize them in playlists. I tried exporting my playlists from iTunes to my USB drive in .m3u format. My Ford Touch sees the playlists but no songs are associated with them. I tried using a text editor to modify the file paths in the .m3u files to take out my Mac location (deleting my home directory and starting the file path with either the album name or music -- I tried a couple of things). Nothing I tried worked. How do I make the link between the playlist and my actual songs? (By the way, I just had my Edge to the dealer and got the latest system update.) Thanks so much for any help!
  4. I have an iphone4 (not 4s) running OS6 and this does NOT work for me on my 2012 Edge. Would love to see Pandora artists and track names, not "unknown" listed for each song. Solution?
