Bad part of town is not reason for a recall. Unless it poses a direct safety hazzard, no recall is ever going to happen. Its an electrical switch, things like this wear and brake, ours was replaced at 22,000 miles and 2 years old. Do I think there should be a better design, heck yes, ford has been having issues with the switch for 10+ years now.

I bet it is your injectors! Very common on these motors!

I removed the DDM harness and hooked my 35w kit directly and have had zero issues in the past 10 days! So I inspected the harness....on the ddm harness 2 of the ground connections just pulled apart, I am going to go through the harness and solder all connections. I am fairly confident that was my issue. thanks

We drove the new sante fe prior to purchasing our edge limited. It did drive nice, although I thought the transmission was a bit quirky and didnt always know what gear to be in. Interior I feel is nicer on the edge, exterior I give the Sante Fe the nod. Its a tough call, they are both nice. I felt the Edge was roomier, less blind spots, and better entertainment system.

thats a good idea. I will try it without the harness, since it does have add extra connections and alot of wire, maybe it is the issue.

I got the wiring harness from DDM and hooked the ground to the battery. what wires from each side should be grounded?

My harness is still like new. no burning. I have it grounded to the battery....and is tight

I have had HID's installed for about a month now. DDM 35watt with wiring harness. Problem I am having is about 1/2 the time 1 headlight will not turn on with the auto headlights on. Its random, not always the one side or the other. If I keep the light switch off of auto, they work everytime. what am i missing?

I got my 2011 edge with a remote start installed. It has a seperate fob with a single button to start the car. Is it possible to change to a 4 button fob with the key built in? I wanna go from this to this.... anyone know if possible?

edge1217, I had the exact same impressions! 18's just rode better than the 20's in everyday driving!

more times than none, a lower profile tire will be louder. a 50 series tire has less sidewall to soak up energy. Maybe the limited has more sound deadening features.
