  1. Don't 2 foot the brake and the gas.
  2. I received some good info but also alot of smart ass comments as well. Not worth my time dealing with them anymore. Thanks
  3. Okay, just posted at Flatrate Tech .com. Thanks
  4. Possibly, is that the site where they want you to pay for the answer? If so, I didn't follow through. Is there a reply?
  5. I have a 2012 with Ecoboost. Are you having a problem when you depress the accelerator there is no response like the engine dies? I have Ford look at mine and could not duplicate the problem.
  6. I am having a similar problem with my 2012 Edge Ecoboost. I get dead throttle response for about 2 seconds. RPM's don't go up and it's like the engine dies and then boom, the throttle repsonse comes back. Took it to the dealer and no issues found. This has happened at least 4 times now. Only 10,000 miles on the vehicle.
  7. robertlane, This dead spot is upon accelration while the vehicle is moving. It happened to me as I deaccelerrated on a on freeway on-ramp, turning to the right then upon acceleration to get onto the freeway, there was nothing when the gas pedal was depressed, then appx. 2 seconds later, the engine / RPM's retruned. There is no increase in RPM's during this flat/dead spot. Could this be a TPS?
  8. Hi, I am new to this forum. I own a 2012 Ford Edge Ecoboost. We have been experiencing "intermittently"; a dead spot lasting 2-3 seconds upon depressing the throttle. Seems to me this is a software issue. I had the local Ford dealer look at it but they could not give me any answers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark
