Does the Edge/MKX Navigation system allow you to manipulate it via voice commands while the vehicle is moving, or is it completely crippled?

I'm not usually the cynical type, but I just have visions of MKX owners walking to their vehicles in parking lots only to find that their side view mirrors no longer have the chrome covers!

I just went out and checked my Honda Pilot....it's the same. 60% on driver's side, 40% on passenger. This certainly does seem backwards, but, rest assured, it's not only Ford doing it!

Simple question: can the chrome side view mirror covers on the '08 MKX be removed? They're not a deal breaker or anything, but I'm not sold on 'em....would be nice to know if they were easily removed (and what is underneath is presentable).

Does your center instrument panel have wood trim instead of the brushed nickel? I'm having a hard time telling from the photo, but it sure looks like the wood. I just test drove a Monochrome Limited today and the center instrument panel had the brushed nickel trim. I asked the sales guy if wood was an option for that piece since it has the other wood accents...he said no. Just curious....
