I just picked up a stock sub enclosure. What do I need to install this? Does this have a built in amp or was the amp a seperate peice in the sony system? Or does it even need an amp?

In my wife's 4runner, the cupholders are rather large with an adjustment bar to accomodate smaller sized bottles/cups. I like

Is it just me or does the center console cupholders seem a bit useless? Powerade bottles don't fit in either holder, vitamin water doesn't fit all the way in the smaller holder, while the same holds true in the front holder if the rubber peice is installed. Its a bit annoying having to remove and replace that rubber peice depending on what bottle/cup you put in there.

Any aftermarket solutions to the OEM kit? I would want to add the additional lighting to match all the factory locations, but also want the colors to match. Anything that will have the choice of colors to cycle thru?

The ambient lighting installation instructions say to drill a 17.5mm hole behind the gear shift and 1 inch in front of the armrest for the switch. Anyone have a pic of this?

Noticed some brackets and bolts exposed. Is there suppose to be some plastic covers there?

Know the dimensions of your amp? How much extra room is in there?

I assume that amp fits there with the OEM panels in place?

I put in 2 jbl subs 12 inch. Makes the base in stock speaker sound like a bitch. My suggestion put in a sub. Worth it

I see pics of the factory setup showing lights in the door handles and the door storage area, but websites selling the OEM kit say nothing about either. Has anyone bought the OEM kit and can tell me if it has these lights? Also, where is the factory switch/button located that controls the ambient lighting?

I'm going through the same thing with a 2012 Edge SEL. There is only speaker wire (High level output) from the back of the head unit. That will need to go to the amp and then to the speakers. Have you ha any luck yet? I'm starting this mission this week.

I just got my car yesterday. Finally! Only took 10 weeks... I haven't had any time to look things over, but I might get the Metra kit when it comes out so I can install an aftermarket stereo with outputs for an amp

Anyone know if the 2010 edge stereo harness will work on the 2013? Or if one exsist for the 2013?

Metra Electronics will have one soon, for single din & double din

Looks like that would work, but still looks like you have to cut the factory bezel. Where would you cut tho? Above or below the CD slot? What about the Airbag indicator?

If you contact your salesman, he can speak with the Sales Manager and see if the order is too far along in the process. I know there is a window of time were you can change some things but after a cutoff date, you won't be able to add/delete options. I did this a few times on my 13' Titanium Fusion, but I did it within the window of time. As for your radio.. If you don't like the screen and its too late.. You can always spent about a grand and get a really nice Pioneer or Kenwood 7" touchscreen system that would be just as good as MFT if not blow it out of the water. The reason why a lot of people don't go this route is becasue the MFT touchscreen is included in the payment of the car and it isn't additional monies out of their pocket and it's more practical/easy. Before touchscreens were standard in cars, the aftermarket route was the only way to go!

 

Most Pioneer and Kenwood systems have like 12 millions points of interest included into their navigation units and its no monthly charge.. They have bluetooth, interenet connectivity when in range to a wifi hotspot and will do loads more than MFT.. Back up cameras, etc. etc. etc.

Well, I had called my salesman only a few days after placing my order cuz I wanted to add some options, but I was told it was too late. I dont understand why it was too late cuz it took 6 weeks just to get a VIN. I was finally able to view my window sticker a few days ago and it has a date of 04/19/13. I didn't know I could swap out my factory screen/stereo for an aftermarker one. I have a 2013
