  1. I had the same issue with my 08 SEL AWD (only 10k miles). The dealership replaced the left rear knuckle and hub assembly. I hope your service appt. goes/went well.
  2. I guess you have to be careful of what you wish for. My TPMS warning light has just come to life. I was out for a short trip to fill up with gas and all of a sudden it registered. The warning light has been coming on ever since whenever I start the ignition. The Edge has been parked over the holidays since we've been using the wife's car. Therefore, I didn't have a chance to go on a 30 minute loop around the block as suggested. Nonetheless, I still find it curious.
  3. Thanks for the information. I agree with you about not getting too worried about it. I was just curious that I wasn't seeing what most people have reported seeing.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I believe most of my trips have been short hauls so I'll go for a nice drive and see what happens. Thanks again.
  5. I'm just curious if anyone else has observed this. I recently purchased and installed 4 new winter tires with winter rims without TPMS sensors on my AWD 08 Edge. I have not had to hit the reset button once nor do I get any warning light displayed on the dash. The original tires, rims and TPMS sensors are sitting in my garage. Possible TPMS problem?

    MPG??????

The extra weight with more rubber and more metal on the rims X 4 has got to factor into fuel economy with larger tires.
  7. I think it powers the auto-dimming function on the mirror to prevent glare from headlights from behind. I believe the 07's had this feature as well.
  8. Hi Dave, Congratulations on the order. I was in a similar situation when I purchased my 08 SEL AWD vap silver with reverse sensor. There were no vehicles available in the Ontario dealership inventories at that time. I placed my order on December 29th with a Ford dealership in Missassauga (10 minutes from the plant). They called me on January 29th telling me the vehicle was in. I had a vehicle broker negotiate on my behalf for a $40 fee and got a great deal. Recommend this service for anyone from Ontario in the market for a car. The time will pass quickly and your Edge is definitely worth the wait. Mike Niagara Falls, Ontario
  9. Picked up my new Edge on Saturday. The dealership came through for me - four week delivery!! I'm sure it helps that the dealership is only 10 minutes away from the Ford plant where the Edge is built (saw a Ford Flex in the factory administration parking lot on the way to the dealership). Back to the Edge - I think I'm in love. I do have one concern that has got me a little on Edge lately. I'm concerned about the potential for door dings on my Edge. Before I purchased, I would examine the Edge on dealership lots and I convinced myself that the door molding near the bottom of the door (all in black) would provide the ding protection on the doors. However, after parking my Edge in the garage, it became clear that the doors on my wife's car are perfectly positioned to ding away at will. What has been the experience of other owners who have had their Edge's for awhile now? Has anyone purchased after market door moldings/guards? If so, any suggestions?
