  1. I recently had a similiar Issue: When I was stopped at a Red Light (with no cars around me) smoke blew into my Edge From the A/C Vents filling my cab. I quickly turned off the A/C and rolled down the Windows. 5 minutes later, Being an obvious glutton for punishment, I turned the A/C back on, and smoke filled the cab Again. I called My Ford Dealership and made an appointment for the next morning. I explained the Above and a few hours after Dropping off my Edge I got a call from my Service Writer saying "Unable to Duplicate the concern" At THAT Point I mentioned that many Edge owners were having PTU leaks. He told me He Checked Them already and that even if they Leaked, the Seals arent Near my A/C intake. Hmmmmm Any Advice ?
  2. i've a few dings dents and scratches too. Im sure they'd go unnoticed to anyone other than its owner but please...HELP US!
  3. Does anyone know if Sirius Travel Link is available to be added to 2008 Navigation systems ? I looked for the answer to this on both Ford and Sirius sites. It going to be on all 2009 ford navigations Thats the only info I've found. Thanks in Advance.
  4. I've had a similiar issue. When my phone's bluetooth is on and i enter the Edge it Auto-connects (Displaying it DID connect on the both radio and my phone) However, When a call comes in and i answer it Via the radio It answers and ends the call. The only solution for this that i have found is that if I Manually connect Via the phone to My sync, then it works flawlessly UNTIL i leave the edge, Then i must repeat the manual connection. While on Long trips this is not a problem, Its a huge inconvience for IN-N-OUT days when i have to keep manually connecting it. Any advice? 2008 Edge Limited Phone-Verizon Casio Boulder :stop: P.S. its not that I am plain lazy ,Iam handicapped and I drive with hand controls
  5. I Have BOTH the above issues. My sunshade AND middle Seatbelt Flap in the wind of open windows. My Fix: TURN THE RADIO UP ! :P (out of ear out of mind) ~Mikey
  6. Has anyone else noticed that when after market bars or runnig boards are installed on edges< you can not find pictures of the entire edge to see how the vehicle looks with them on? i ve searched and searched only to see close ups of the steps, yea i understand that THAT is the product for sale but my decision for purchase has alot to do with how it will look on the vehicle. Anyone find full vehicle shots ?
  7. This may be a simple answer but i checked my manual before posting. In any other car I've driven or owned, You did not need to press the button on the shifter to go From "Drive" to "Neutral"( this was explained to me,as a safety feature so that the passenger could slip the car into "neutral" from "drive" if the driver became unconscious at the wheel, thereby stopping any accelaeration. ) My 2008 Edge doesnt have this ability. I Have to press the button in order to go from "drive" to "neutral" ...i do NOT however, have to press the button to go from "Reverse" to "neutral" or "Neutral" to "drive". Is this done for a reason?/Is mine working as it should ? Any Input on this subject is Appreciated ~Mike
  8. A Salvage Yard is a GREAT idea, Thanks So much Grey
  9. In tinkering with My edge last night, I realized that the interior "courtesy" light (behind the rear driverside seats back near the inside hatch and folding seat buttons ) is the piece i am reffering to. if u wiggle its clips free from the wall it comes out with the bulb attached to the lens, this is the type of piece im looking for only smaller if possible. TINKERING saves the day!
  10. The Lenses That I am speaking of have a clip that the bulb or socket attaches to so that the bulb isnt free floating in the lens. If i order what i know as a "lens" it will just be a rectangular piece of plastic without any means of attaching a bulb that fits onto a light assembly (think of a tail light lens). I have seen trunk lighting that is a rectangular plastic box that has a "c"-shaped clip in which the bulb socket clips. This box clips up into the trunk lid or deck and stays in place by means of tabs that when pressed allow the housing to drop back down in order to change bulbs. Unfortunately i cannot find pictures or examples due to the terminology problem im having :-( .
  11. Thank you for your Help. I had tried using "lens" as a google keyword, didn't have any luck :-(. Unfortunately I cant call my dealer because Im not replacing an old existing part...Im tryin to put in a flush mounted light where there wasn't one before. Maybe I can just describe it to Ford and they can get me one even if i dont have an existing one. Its worth a shot. Thanks for Your Help :-)
  12. Im trying to find a part but can't figure out what its called. I've googled for weeks with no progress. Im looking for the clear piece of plastic that a bulb and or socket clips into for mountings like The license plate, glovebox, cupholders, trunk lid. The bulb wouldnt be visible because its hidden within or behind where its mounted but the light would shine through the flush plastic piece into where its intended. OEM or Stock makes no difference to me. HELP meeeeee.

  15. HeHe Sorry. Its like a Domino effect. Tweeking is contagious. One change leads to another and another. I was Thinking of just a Crisper White, myself. Same for the Reverse and License Plate Lamps. Those Bulbs However WERE in the manual. I want to change em all in one shot.
  16. Has anyone replaced the Lights on the outside sideview mirrors(ON THE UNDERSIDE) of an 2008 Edge? The ones that Light when you press unlock on the KeyFob or when you turn on the interior lights. I couldnt find the bulb # in the owner manual or how to replace it. Any Info would be great
  17. Very Nice. Have you gotten LEDs from here?Lets see some Installed Pics
  18. Thank you for your Fishtank example and input. I Asked because I was Looking to do a similar install as the Above Linked myself, saving $$. I was just curious if anyone had purchased it so that i could find out where they are installed in cupholders and sealed. I hadnt thought about changing out the cabin lights, thats a good idea. :-) i was just planning to put neons in the footwells and LED's in the cupholders, wired to switches installed into a plate inside the center console. Ive done similar installs So I know i can handle the job. But water from the cupholder around electrical makes me nervous. Even if the LEDs will be uneffected, the water has to go SOMEWHERE. I dont want it to run to wires or metal under the console. I guess I can mount the LEDs high in the cupholder so that the water is too low to run anywhere, now that i think about it. Anyhow, Any further advice or iput is welcome.
  19. http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/fas/b2...ories.asp?id=40 oR http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/fas/b2c/catalog.asp THEN put in the part number on the bottom left of the screen.
  20. For the interior light kit Part Number: 8S4Z-13E700-AA- From the ford certified accessory site There are LED'S in the cupholders. How are these LED'S waterproof So that condensation from the cold beverages in the cupholder doesnt run inside the opening and inside the console? water + electronics = trouble Anyone have this that can tell about it?

  22. It isnt the accuracy of the house # i am concerned with, it is the mislabeled Map. In other words Street A is labeled D and D is labeled C and C is labeled A. It would be different if two streets side by side were switched but some mislabels are blocks apart and not simply switched one for one. Also depending on the roads, turning around is not easy. For my house this isnt a big problem bc as i said ppl should be able to get out of their home neighborhood. But what of mislabeled Streets in an area you have never visited? What good is Navigation Guidance if it leads you to the Wrong place?
