Guys, I'm trying to hook up my Metra Axxess ASWC to my head unit. When I reached out to metra - they stated had to connect the Green/White wire to the original factory harness pin 18 no aftermarket harnesses will work. Now I purchased a aftermarket harness so I wouldn't have to cut into original harness. My question to you guys how are you connecting that green white wire? Any information is greatly appreciated.

This site use to be good but now they just view your question's and never answer. I'm not sure if you found a answer to your question but you can double check with the vendor to make sure they will work correctly.

The bypass module on the sonic website doesn't specify if you will require a key or not. But for that price I would assume no. You can always verify with a simple email. There are two type's of bypass module's one that require a key and one that doesn't require a key. The one that doesn't require a key is more expensive but you not spending money to cut a key or lose a extra key.

I can't answer all the question's you asked. But I recently installed a viper alarm system 5301 on my edge. Works greats. As far as the bypass module I purchased this one <<here >> Had a friend cut a key for me. Very cheap and works great. The viper alarm I purchased was refurbished by viper and I purchased it for half the price. As you can see my only intention was to keep cost low but at the same time maintain all the feature's of a viper alarm system. After the install is finish you just want to make sure that everything is working correctly. The alarm system. The remote start. As far as the window's you can purchase what's known as module's for viper. There's a window module and other module's for specific functions. Of course I believe these are all add on's. Good luck.

Not to revive this thread but I just changed my cabin filter.....it was disgusting. I never changed it never knew it exist until started researching this weird smell in the car. Thanks you guys for this very informational thread.

No it's not a high pitch..it sounds more like a buzzer and directly coming from the rear of the vehicle...

I have to agree ..we own 07 models no sync on that model. This so stupid....Just hope this don't lead to bigger issues.

sup folks, Thought I'll look for some answer's here before I bring my car in. About last month I've been driving and would notice a buzzer sound when I would accelerate. It comes from the passenger side in the rear. Have anyone else experience this issue?

Yeah I remember seeing that in 07 when I was looking for a new car and mods for the edge. Can I ask if that was a custom lower lip bumper? Also were there any mods to engine area..and please show some pics of the interior. Thanks

NY, I know you live in new york..but your edge would look sweet with some 20% tint or limo's all around. I know the cops going to be harassing you..but I think it would be worth it..lol. Sweet ride

How did you go about adding your tints?

hey guys, Didn't know where else to post this where i could get feedback ASAP. Anyway my question is.. I'm about to hit the maintenance point for my edge to bring it back to the dealership. I have about 15,000 miles on it. But My question is how much miles do you have and how many times have you done routine mileage maintance on your edge through ford dealerships?and also how much did you come on your pocket (Pay) for each one if you remember. Thanks all feed back is greatly appreciated.

I don't live in the San Diego Area. But I think 20% tints black blends perfectly with the factory tints.

well my edge does something familiar but not all the time. When cruising it shifts perfect. no noise no stutter. But when I get into the mental state of speed. I do notice that when I want to go there's like a stutter when I hit the gas. I hit the gas and its like the car thinks about it and then goes. like ohhh he wants to go faster. But when it goes it goes. And thats why I never care to much about the stutter to a point where it would bother me enough to have it checked out. There's no noise or anything like some others might experience. But when I want it go to work...........IT puts in work. Love it.

Hey guys, I notice the interior of my car is getting dirty. I was wondering what type of cleaning products do you guys on this forum use for your ford edge. I dont have leather interior, I actually have the black mesh seats. The side door panels are also black. Whole interior black. What type of products would you apply ot the seats and the door panels and dashboard. If you could post full name and or links to websites would be great. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if anyone would be able to answer this question. But if the Ford Edge have the capability of higher octane and better MPG why wouldn't ford incorporate this into the car instead of buying a product like Evolution Performance Custom Tuned SCT X3 which is going to run you 400$ deep. I mean if you can get the capability of gaining better horsepower and MPG all by a program, why buy a third party after market product to do so?
