  1. Believe I've read in other posts that this is caused by defective throttle pedal sensor.
  2. Supposedly this slip-bang transmission problem was resolved on 2011 Edges built after April 15th. Best to check the build date on the door sticker if buying one of these.
  3. I read that 2011 Ford Edge has a three star frontal crash rating so went on testing site to see why it does so poorly. Turns out the drivers air bag does not sufficiently work causing the driver's head to impact the sterring wheel causing head and neck injuries. Is Ford working on this? Is therre a TSB or possible fix in the works? Seems all that would be needed is a heavier duty air bag in the steering wheel.
  4. Could you order the factory tow package on a 2011 Edge SE? I haven't seen any so far. Thanks.
  5. This is a great analysis of the PTU problem on the Edge. I wish you could do analysis of the 2006-2012 Toyota Rav4 V6 transmission. It has tranny whine that starts around 15K miles and increases in volume over time until its louder than the radio. No one has ever fixed it and Toyota finally quit producing V6 Rav4 in 2013 because of it. Here is a post on rav4wolrd forum that has over 200,000 views and 1,000 posts on the tranny whine problem. http://www.rav4world.com/forums/99-4-3-mechanical/75633-whining-noise-40-50-mph-solved-updated-8-26-10-tsb-out.html
  6. Here is one I saw online that looks toasty. Its a 2011 Edge with 33K miles. Leather did not do well. http://autos.aol.com/used-detail--1904741927809921702-Ford-Edge-2011/
  7. I test drove a 2011 Edge and had a concern about the seat durability. The seats are very soft and when you get out it appears the side bolster is crushed over the plastic piece with the controls. It seems the seat would wear out in no time. Have you had problems with your Edges seat wearing out from exiting the vehicle over time?
