I have this problem also. 2007 Ford Edge SEL with abour 115K miles. When the tank is filled over 3/4 full strong gas fumes result. Mechanic says top of tank has holes in it. Quoted $1540 for parts, and $505 labor ($2045) to replace tank. Outrageous. Why does the tank deteriorate on the top?
