. Not on an Edge, but I vote plasti dip, been on my other car over a year, still looks great. Just make sure you use enough coats or it's a pain the remove later.

Here is how I removed the front emblem on my wifes 2011 Ford Edge SEL. First remove the (2) 10mm screws and 4 clips located on the top of the shroud. Marked with red circles are the things that need to be removed. Then gently pull back the shroud in the direction of the yellow arrows, do not go to far, just enough to get you hand in the hole in the center. You are reaching in and unclipping the three points on the trim piece that actually holds the emblem in place. They are circled in red in the picture below. (You can probay just use a 10mm socket and take the two nuts of the emblem, I didnt try this because it was much easier to just push the tabs down and unclip it) After you have removed the emblem and trim (if thats the way you did it) you simply unbolt the emblem from the trim using a 10mm socket. The rest I am sure you can figure out, to replace just reverse the order of course. Pics below.

Seems like they could make more on after sale activations though, instead of letting the system that is perfectly capable go to waste like having an HD tv and watching SD channels.

Seems like really bad planning and a missed oppurtunity for money which is odd for a dealership.

Is there no way to get it to work, it gives longitude and lat so there must be a gps module of some sort in it.

It says information in the top right hand corner, then lets you connect to your phone for map info. I am going to insert a friends A4 card and see what happens, I'm not going to buy one if it wont work.

How can I verify this?

I just bought a used 2011 Ford Edge SEL, will the navigation card work or does there have to be a certain radio installed? It has an SD slot. Does it have to be bought from ford or can I get it from ebay. Which ones will work, a4, a5?

2011 Edge SEL, Sync is having issues, sync site says its up to day...Gen2 V1.8 shows as the latest update back in august of 2010, is this the latest update for my vehicle? I have put an image on a usb and successfully transferred it to sync, have saved it as the wallpaper, but it will only show up on the first wallpaper option, will not sure on the other 2 modes, any ideas?

I have a 2011 SEL and would like to switch out the silver plastic dash trim pieces to the wood that comes with the limited, any ideas on where (besides a junkyard) I could find this item (maybe even the part numbers) and how to remove the old ones? Any help is great appreciated.

I put them in all my cars, including my 2011 Edge SEL, no negative results in any of my vehicles. As mentioned above the only real noticeable gains will come from a full intake swap and matching exhaust work .
