  1. Wow, I looked through the entire manual Index and could not find a temp gauge heading. I agree with the guy that started this post, I would also rather see a temp gauge. The tach is only good for the paddle shift. What a suprise, we will just have to get used to it.
  2. After doing some research on the Internet I found out that the larger diameter wheels make the vehicle suffer in tests involving 0-60 and overall fuel consumption. Going to see the dealer tomorrow to find out what my options are. Machined Aluminum would be my first choice and alloys second, as long as they are not the chrome I'm good. Checked out E-Bay aswell to see what you said earlier.
  3. Is973800, Thanks so much for replying. Great info and it tells me I am not crazy. I wonder how many different types of Flex wheels are out there. maybe I should look at a brochure at the dealership or else on line.
  4. So I have a deal in progress on an Edge Limited. It comes with the optional 20" wheels as an upgrade for $850 plus tax. I was hoping to buy an Edge with 18" wheels so that I could put my dedicated winters on which happen to be 17" (235/65R17) I realize that the 20" (245/50R20) are the same diameter as the 18" (245/65R18) Are the 20" tires a better ride that the 18" as far as handling, bumps etc ? I was just thinking economics when it comes to replacing the tires and also ride characteristics of going from a 17" high profile tire in the winter and then a 20" low profile tire in the summer. Should I ask the dealer for some 18" wheels? Also colour of vehicle is Tuxedo black and actually I prefer the look of the Alloys versus the Chrome Clad (I must be old school - LOL) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please advise

  6. Well after reading through the maze of PTU threads, I think I am going to go either with a FWD Edge or maybe even change it up to a Nissan Pathfinder. The pathfinders were redesigned in 2013 and have an intuitive AWD. It comes with a control shift handle where you can run it in FWD only if you like. I plan on keeping this next vehicle for quite a while and after dealing with an AWD problem from another manufacturer, I am very hestitant as to go with the AWD Edge.
  7. Thinking of buying a newer Edge aswell, however really curious as to what the latest news about the PTU issues that have been haunting Ford owners. I am really suprised with all of the members here that are a huge wealth of information that No one ever replied to this guys question from August 2013.
