  1. It was a clogged condenser. The dealership did not charge us.
  2. Would the car sitting up for 9 months cause the A/C to be damaged some how. We got ours back and now the A/C has slowly stopped blowing cold. Today, no cold air... not good in Mississippi. This is in addition to them returning it to us with a bent rim that they took no responsibility for. I am going to try to charge the system tonight in hopes that its not the evaporator sensor or compressor.
  3. Good New, Bad News received today: Good news: my tank came in and they got it installed. The anticipated arrival date was middle November of this year. Will be glad to get the Lincoln back. Bad news: Service manager said that my rim has a crack in it where the tire beads and needs to be replaced to the tune of 1300.00 but since it sat in their lot since last September, they would give it to me for 1100.00. They are claiming ZERO responsibility for the crack and said its all on me. I know for sure it wasn't like that when I brought it in. I hate stealerships.
  4. It has been 7 months since we dropped our Lincoln off at the dealership and 7 months into the rental that is costing Ford 1350.00 per month. Like the rest of you the ETA of the tank is Oct or November. Thats 17,550.00 that Ford is spending on the rental alone with just us. I've tried to contact Ford to talk about a buy back or work some deal out but get nowhere fast. I hate the liability and risk of this long term rental. Someone at Ford did a piss poor job with the response to this recall....I hope their head rolled.
  5. 3 Weeks in a rental and no ETA of the tank. Were in a 2014 MKX though so thats a plus.
  6. Just read the above posts. I had no idea.... My wife and I finally bit the bullet and set an appointment last week to bring her MKX in yesterday to pay the roughly 2k to get the gas tank fixed. Good news, bad news you ask? Correct. Good News x2: We got a call today saying that there was a recall that would cover the repair costs associated with her issue! Awesome! We saved 2k to get it fixed and now we can use that surplus $ to address other things that popped up. Bad News: No idea when the part will be in. Booooooo. Looks like Ill be rockin the spare 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 190k miles, that has been in the back yard, that smells like cat piss, while my wife takes over my VW Toureg V10 Diesel. Still, I find myself not mad.
  7. Add me to the fuel tank leaking club. 1850.00 to get it done at the dealership. Have a guy locally that can install it for 3 hours labor...course Fords price on the tank is 1640.00 plus tax. Reported it to the NHTSA and complained to Ford/Lincoln. Has there been any updates to this issue or alternative fixes?
