  1. I had a Ford Escape when I was stationed in Alaska. I bought an air matress with built in air pump and 12v adapter. I think it was a full size, it fit perfect width wise and had to 'L' it to fit length wise, so it made an air matress bed and headboard. Then I put velcro tape around the rear windows and made screens to fit, attaching the other side of the velcro around the screens. My friends thought it was dumb until they're setting up tents in the dark and I just climb in and crash. Crack the windows for fresh air while keeping out the bugs.
  2. Thats cool. I might look into that on our next trip. We're good now, but have another little one on the way. With the two rugrats and two dogs in the bag, I need a lil bit more room. Nice setup, thanks!
  3. Yes...I too have fallen to the stock looking GT. I couldn't find the "shame" smiley. When I had my RX-8 I ran up to a GT at a light. I'd spanked many before, but not this time...no not this time. I jumped enough off the line that I could hear him spool the whole time he passed me, then he spanked me. I caught up to him at the next light and said "man...blown", he said "yup" and smiled.
  4. Not trying to be negative or knocking. Thats not a "RAM Air". I wouldn't even call it a Cold Air Intake. Not sure how low it goes, but its just an intake, short arm. Ram air is where air is forced straight into a duct and into the motor. Cold air is when the intake extends outside of the engine bay and away from the hot air. But anyway... You said you noticed HP increase, which is good. I was wondering, have you noticed your gas mileage go up or down, preferably up? I'm looking to at least put in a filter, or an intake to help out with the mpg. Of course more horsies are nice, but I didn't buy the edge to hammer red light racers .
  5. Man, that would have done me some good just a couple of days ago. I just grabbed 4 bags of mulch, a 40lb bag o shit (manure) and 15 or so edging stones to finish up my front garden on the house. I didn't make much mess, and Ford detailed it just yesterday when they put the protective package, but still. Thanks for the link!
  6. I didn't see any mention of noise from your system, like road noise. Not sure if you have the same problem or not, but I've had bad luck with the door jam method. My wife and I borrowed a kangaroo luggage carrier from my folks. We were visiting and went home with more than we brought, gotta love Mom and Dad. We put it on a Pontiac Grand Am (lay off, we traded it in for the Edge!) with no roof rack. So we had to secure it between the body and door, like your system. HORRIBLE. The entire trip home I told everybody in the car to not talk to me. Every conversation went blahblah what? blah what? blah. The noise it made was horrible at highway speeds, its was worse than driving in a convertible on the highway. After it was off the door seal was never the same and was louder at highway speeds than normal. Just wanted to see if you had this problem, or at least warn potential buyers. For the tailgate system. Have you put any kind of luggage on it, other than bikes or ski's. I've been told luggage can smell like exhaust or gas. Just wanted to see if you had this problem. Would like to get a tailgate system for luggage when we bring the dogs with us. Thanks!
