  1. Guy at the dealer told me it would be 200 dollars plus labor to replace one of them. I brought my new tires there to have them installed, they quoted me $60.00 to mount and balance, I said what about all the extra hidden fees, he said there wasn't any. So I finally had my 82000 mile Michelins replaced with the same Michelins that I purchased online. I just looked up sensors Motorcraft TPMS12 and you can get them for less tham 20 bucks apiece on Amazon. Thanks for the help guys. Tarey
  2. That was the Ford dealer that told me that much, it was the guy that takes your info for service. Tarey
  3. I have a tire pressure sensor fault. Last week I had new tires installed and the guy at the dealer said it would cost $200. to replace it. I said no thanks. I looked up the sensors on Rockauto and there is a couple different ones, has to do with the Hertz they operate at. There is 2 motorcraft ones listed one at 433 MHZ and one at 315 MHZ Which one does my 2013 Edge Limited need? 18 inch wheels Thanks for the help. Tarey
  4. OH, OK Cool, thanks, I didn't know that. They kept it in really good shape. I was doing some reading and I am going to change all the fluids myself, as per the Ford Technician Makuloco that does all the Youtube videos. He says the more fequent on the transmission the better. Tarey
  5. My Edge was originally sent to Hawaii. It says on the original window sticker under Included on this vehicle Equipment group 300A Daytime running lights $45.00 Tarey
  6. My headlights came on when I would put it in gear. I had them turn that feature off because I installed V-LED headlights. Tarey
  7. When you take your Edge to the dealer for service. I have only put 3000 miles on my 13 Edge since I bought it as a Ford Certified used vehicle in Dec. of 14. I took it in ( to a different dealership closer to where I live ) ( San Tan Ford ) for them to activate the remote start I installed, cut 2 keys, disable my day time running lights and change my oil and filter. I get this print out that says my engine coolant is diluted and discolored and in poor condition and needs replaced. My brake fluid is discolored and needs replaced. My power steering fluid is discolored and needs replaced. My transmission fluid is discolored and needs replaced. My Edge just has 39,051 miles on it. Certified Technician C. Suprak was the name on my inspection report, it would only cost $580.00 give or take a few $ I know in the waiting room where I was sitting were a bunch of retired age gentleman, ( hacking and coughing and getting in their daily naps ) that maybe they associated me with them as maybe having some extra $$$ sitting around waiting to be spent, but NOT the case. So does this happen to you guys every time you take your Edge in for service??? Do they do this every time hoping you will eventually just give in. Just so you know this is the first Ford I have ever owned. Tarey
  8. I purchased the reese hitch for my 13 limited at Amazon from Autoaccessories4less. They had the best price, it got shipped out in 2 days and I received it the next day. Easy to install, I just dropped down the back of the exhaust, didn't have to jack up the vehicle. You have to drill 2 holes but that is no big deal. All you see is the 2 inch square below the black bottom panel. I really like it. Tarey http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004R389M2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A1J7OTSURZAVWI
  9. Sorry for not getting back here for a while but I finally had a chance to get them adjusted and take some pics. I got the cutoff line good so that I don't shine in the oncoming drivers eyes. The light pattern is bright and pretty full. I really like the results, way better than the halogen bulbs that were in there. I was talking with a gentleman at V Leds and he was saying that the halogen lens isn't that clear and has those little bumps on it, that some people change out the lens to a clear lens like the better HID lights have. So that got me thinking and reading a lot on HIDplanet. There is a better direct replacement projector by the retrofit source called the EVOX-R. It is even better than the Hella55 that come stock on Ford HIDs. So I am going to order a set and give those a try. I will have to bake the light housing to soften the sealer and take them apart but for what I have been reading the benifits are well worth it. I found an article where a guy compared the V-LEDS led in a good projector to be as good as the HID bulbs. The first pic is the V-LED housing where I put 2 larger set screws to secure the collar to the bulb. The last 3 pics are with the high beans on. Tarey
  10. I had to do some more adjusting with the way the bulb was oriented in the housing. I was reading where some other people that had purchased them were doing some testing for better beam patterns. The LEDS had to be pointing top and bottom in my housing for best results. With the way the grooves were in the bulbs and the set screws in the collars, no matter how I set them the LEDS ended up not pointing top and bottom. So I drilled out the set screws from 6-32 to 10-32 and used 2 screws in each collar, seeing how the screws weren't going to seat in the grooves, this way I would have enough holding power to be able to lock the bulbs in the collars to keep them from turning when I twisted them in the housing. I have only been able to drive it at nite one time since I got them adjusted correctly and the beam pattern and the brightness looks really good so far, but didn't have a camera with me. I have been forced in to work on my days off and I drive in during the early evening and come home when it is light out already so I haven't been able to get any pics, but as soon as I get a day off I will get some pics taken and posted. 11. The LED bulbs slide thru the boot and then the collar that secures it to where it attaches to the headlight assy. screws on and is secured with a set screw. They are adjustable for depth and focus ( turning left or right ) The boots didn't fit tight in the back of the headlight assy. so I cut a 1/4 inch off around the outside so it would fit inside the factory dust cap. I used a hole saw to cut a 2 inch hole in the dust cap ( the same size as the back of the heat sink so the fan could keep it cool. You can see the back of the heat sink thru the dust cover. I still need to drill a small hole in the bottom of the dust cap in case any water would get in there to keep the fan from being a propeller. I got a couple pics out of sequence that show the LED's lit before I installed them. The first pic of the front ( drivers side ) still has the factory halogen bulb for comparison and the next pic ( of the passenger side ) shows the LED installed so you can see what it looks like. The next pic shows them lit on my garage door ( during the afternoon ) ( halogen on left and LED on right ) then with high beams on and then with both LEDs lit. Then with the LEDs at night and then from down the street of the front of my edge. I only had a chance to drive it down my street (which has street lights all over the place ) to really evaluate them. I didn't drive farther because it was my only day off and I was enjoying some wine with friends and I don't drink and drive. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can drive it at night some place where it is really dark and take some pics. So far I really like the way they look and the color 5000K whiteness that matches my other led DRLs. I will keep you informed. Tarey
  12. I finally had a couple days off to get them put in. I mounted the controllers with some small stainless screws where the factory ballasts would go. You can see the controllers I used and they have very well made plugs that can only go together one way, and have screw together ends. I used the rubber boots that were listed above. You can see the LED mounted in it with the factory halogen bulb next to it.I found out that they don't fit tight enough to seal the back of the headlight assy. You can see the fan at the back of the LED bulb. More in next post. Tarey
  13. I got forced in to work the weekend, so I didn't get a chance to install them. I want to remove the lights and mount the controllers where the HID ballasts would normally go. I need to be able to drill some holes for the screws. I want to get them installed as bad as you want to see how they work. I have been trying to find the thread of how to take the headlights assemblies out. Tarey
  14. I just received my rubber boots to go in where the plastic dust covers go. I hope to be able to get them in this coming weekend. Tarey
