  1. Your really have a handle on the timing IMO. Have you sent a PM to Tricia on this forum 'FordService'? Send her your VIN and she should be able to give you an ETA to dealer for you. My stab in the dark guess for you would be May 3rd. Please keep us informed. My ETA from her is May 10th.

You are right about the www.cotusb.ford.com website. I entered a VIN of new Edge in dealer's lot and it doesn't show up on here.

  2. Ambient lighting is the light on the door sill and cup holders, etc. Apparently it isn't available with all trim packages, but I assume my Titanium will have it. Wingnut said it's cool, but not really necessary. Most pictures show it in blue, but I think the orange will be nice; it's looks amber.

It's just one more feature that I can tinker with and set to my liking. (I called it Courtesy lights in error at first.) Pretty sure my mom has it in her Lincoln in blue (she wouldn't know how to change it anyway).

  3. Wow, thanks for the great pictures! The white looks real sharp. (My hubby didn't want white since we had a white explorer once.) I went with Bronze Fire, can't wait to see it in person. Question: Is there a hump in the middle row? More than in older Edges anyway? And if you got all weather floor mats, is it one long mat or two small ones for that middle row?

I'm surprised how many people on this forum decided on the Sport model and/or EcoBoost. Mine will be Titanium with a V6, old school, I guess. But I like my technology, so can't wait to start programming all the options as soon as it come in:)

  4. My husband and I got to see a 2015 Edge Titanium in our dealer's showroom. Hubby's comment was "It's a lot different inside and out, which is for the better." This is comparing to our 2008 which we like. My first impression is that it's a lot bigger--outside is taller, larger hood, inside roomier back end. The four door handles have a thin strip of chrome which I hadn't noticed in pictures. The blue courtesy light are cool. I mostly looked at the storage areas. The arm-rest opens and the inside tray is now on a hinge, which is good. Four power points: front passenger by left knee, in arm-rest console, in middle row, and in the back end. The button to shut the back hatch is now up by the hand-grip on the door itself. In the back end there is a cubby on both sides for 'stuff'. Storage around the spare tire will be great (I use it now for my winter-survival kit). The windshield wipers look pretty huge. Glove box has single button/lock on the left side, leaving the dash area clean looking. It had a blind-spot indicator on the mirrors, but no defrost icon. Didn't get to start or drive it and it's Ruby Red--I ordered Bronze Fire; dealer said I should have it early May. So ETA of May 10th from Tricia at Ford is real close :) [only negative is the headrests--they jut forward too much for my posture, but I think all vehicles have gone this way for safety.]

  5. I've watched some of the video posts. Nice to see storage options in the 2015 Edge.

    1. Top center of dash, hidden storage pops open. (Ford offered this in the short-lived Ford 500.)

    2. Center below control panel, in front of shifter: pops open for cell phone; this is where the USB ports are located.

Side note: Will the USB ports charge a phone when the vehicle is off? They do not in my 2008. Have to use the Power Point.

    3. Located behind #2 is and out-of site storage area also; with non-slip liner. (I think the Escape may have this pass-thru area.)

    4. Console: I haven't seen any pictures inside the new console. (It looks smaller, but my current Edge is a 2008.)

    5. Bottom storage on the front doors looks smaller because of the speaker near the front; no longer a cup-holder down there?

    Thought and comments welcome...

  6. I was extremely close to buying a 2014 Edge in the fall of 2014. I agree that the 2015 front end looks too much like foreign crossovers, but once I learned of the new features like heated steering wheel, I waited until 2015 to order a 2015 Edge. I'm particular of color and features also, so would have been difficult to find a 2014 that meet my needs. Still waiting for my 2015...haven't seen one in person yet either.

  7. Perk: when did you place your order with your dealer? It took about 4 to 5 weeks to get a VIN from my dealer. Then Tricia can work her magic and get you updates..

Sarflipped: when did you place your order with a dealer in Canada? (Thanks for joining this forum.)

  8. Here's an update on my 2015 AWD Titanium Edge from Tricia at FordService. Status is "in order processing" with an ETA of 5/10/15 to my dealer. I'm sure this would be the earliest I would see it and I haven't heard from my dealer lately. So I have VIN number in the ...34000s, but no window sticker yet.
