  1. 1993 Ford Bronco, Eddie Bauer Edition! "Pumba" was the best friend a guy could have. I am positive that my love for Edges stems from their Bronco-ish proportions!
  2. I thought this was going to be a thread about your manual transmission 2015 Edge Sport! Lets all just take a minute to think about how awesome that would be... Mmmm.... Anyways, I found this 2015 Ford Edge Owners Manual pdf, is that what you were looking for? I also found this thread about 2015 Edge owners manuals. I hope this helps!
  3. So what I'm getting from you guys is: submerge my fuel pump in gasoline, go to relaxing gas stations frequently, and tape eggs to my shoes... 30mpg, here we come!
  4. I never would have thought of that! Thank you for the info. You just saved my fuel pump!
  5. At around 90k I replaced the CV axle housing for my front wheel drive-- it had torn or worn off causing the metal components to wear against each other. My favorite Firestone replaced them for me, and now it's as good as new! Then around 105k I replaced the spark plugs, because I heard that's about when they wear out. Just things like that. I guess I consider them repairs over maintenance because they were a little more involved than oil changes. I've owned three Fords in my life-- a '93 Bronco, a '10 Focus, and now my '11 Edge, and all of them have taken good care of me as long as I take good care of them. I'm definitely a Ford man for life (plus the occasional Harley)!
  6. A gallon of gas weighs about 6 pounds (or so Google tells me), and I read somewhere on the internet that every 100 pounds on/in your vehicle affect your fuel efficient by 2-3%. With that in mind, would continually driving around with only a few gallons in your tank compared to a full tank give you a positive increase in your mpg? What do you guys think?
  7. I bought my 2011 Limited FWD about a year ago with ~80k on it from the previous single owner, and just passed 110,000 miles. Just regular maintenance and a few preventative repairs, and it still drives like a dream!
  8. 2011 Ford Edge Limited FWD here-- I started hearing this right around 100k miles. I don't know if this is what you were experiencing, but I had a metallic knocking (almost like the sound of a Newton's cradle) that I heard when turning, reversing and accelerating quickly out of parking spots, and sometimes when driving through dips. It seemed to be coming from somewhere beneath the car. At first I thought something was hanging down and swinging into things. It turned out to be CV axles for my front wheel drive. The rubber housing had worn away, and the metallic knocking I was hearing was the metal components of the axle rubbing on each other. The Firestone mechanic said that since I was only hearing it occasionally I still had a little time before the repair was needed, but if I started hearing the clicking continuously I would need to get it fixed ASAP or my two front wheels may go askew on my. I took it in, they replaced the housings, and I haven't heard it for the last 10k! I hope this helps!
