Ok, so I guess I am late to all of this. I just noticed the gas smell last week and was informed yesterday that I will be in a rental car for the next few months as my car is NOT safe to drive. Is the Fair Market Value, plus an extra $2500 toward a new car, the only offer anyone has had from Ford. I was going to call, but if no one is getting anywhere with this, I wasn't going to waste my time. I want a new car, but my car was still ok and only had 175,000 miles on it. I planned on getting many more. So if I am going to take on another payment, I would have expected a little bit more from them.
