    Another update... Got my new Edge picked out to replace the water damaged one, dealership drove and picked it up yesterday. I was allowed 2500 over the MSRP of the original one that I had purchased with no cost to me. All the tint and protection tht was applied to the original is now being applied to the replacement. Should be ready next week. It took awhile longer than I would have liked but everyone involved in my experience here was over the top nice and helpful. Contacting the Ford Service here on this forum is what got me going in the right direction. Good luck everyone!

    I would be more than happy with that. I'm just afraid they're going to try to make me pay for the whole additional 2300. I would just give up and go with a cheaper model at that point I think...

    The paper I got in the mail said Ford will pay the State fees, and that I MIGHT have to pay some of the sales tax deoending on how much higher the MSRP is on the replacement I choose. If I keep the replacement vehicle within about 2500 then I wont have to pay the any of the taxes. I made my selection yesterday so Ill keep yall posted on how it goes. The selection I chose was about 4800 more than my original based on MSRP. If they are going to make me pay the difference then Im out, Im not adjusting my payment for their screw up.

    The lady I talked to with Ford that was handling my case told me that all affected vehicles will be retuned to Ford, cause my fear was that Ill just get another Edge..with the same problem.. But she assured me that was not going to be an issue. However, I just bought mine on June 20th and it was affected. So yea, when was the stop sale initiated, should I be pissed at Ford or at the dealership for failing to uphold the stop sale.

    The only people I contacted was the Service Center Manager, just to see if he had heard anything. I would just be patient and wait until he calls you. Im thinking the longer it takes the more likely they are to replace it. Now, on that. Im not sure how this replacement process is going to work in my favor. Im a little worried. Im trying to go with a vehicle that is about 4k more than mine was. I figure I deserve it. If it gets approved I will let yall know!

    Update on mine... Ford called yesterday to tell me they are going to replace my Edge, I bought it on the 20th and it was in the shop on the 24th til now. Not really a bad experience (minus the rental for 3 and a half weeks). Everyone at Ford was extremely friendly. They say I can choose my replacement and am allowed a little over what I paid for my original based on the MSRP. However, I have to go through the local dealership to get this done and Im a little worried about getting done wrong by a salesman... Ive been very patient and understanding through all this, I would like a little reward for that. maybe a Moonroof!

    Bought mine June 20, noticed soaked floor on the 23rd, dropped it off at dealership in Waxahachie Tx June 24th, Service dept called the next day to inform me they cannont fix it because the dealership I bought it from in Mesquite TX had already fixed it.. Obviously not. So I contacted that dealership which is 40 miles away. At that time the Ford Customer Service Manager contacted me and told me to leave the car in Waxahachie that she would work on getting approval for them to do the repair. That Friday, June 26th, she contacted me to tell me she was going to be on vacation the following week but her team would call me on Tuesday the 30th with an answer. Today is July 7th and still have had no contact. Been in a rental since June 24th... Both dealerships have called me but not the Ford manager that is handling this case. My build date is April 18th...

    Bought mine 4 days ago... same issue. This is ridiculous... If its a known issue then how come you can still buy one? Wouldn't they go ahead and check all the new ones on the lot before they sold them to someone? New car smell... gone. Faith in my vehicle....gone. I really don't even want this anymore but am stuck with it unless I want to pay a bunch of money? What is that about!
