i made a few nice mods with forscan on my 2016 Ti. Now i'd like to make the same changes on my 2020 ST.

The ones i'd like to do are the turn signal flashes, eliminate the double-honk when i get out a running car with the key in my pocket, secure idle, seat heating and cooling on home display, and so on.

can i safely use the same code changes or can i mess things up?

Don't know about the 2020, but i've done it on my 2019 ST. I used the same codes from my 2016 SEL for turn signal flash and heating and cooling on home screen. Secure idle was on by default. I also added climate control in right IPC

thanks for your answers. interesting that you also had a 2016. I took the car for a quick test drive and it seemed to be quieter and squeek-free. i never used the top compartment but i did use the one on the left by the light switches. i keep a tennis ball in there so i don't have to hold the gas pump nozzle when they don't have the locking device. also interesting is that the lights were one of the main reasons you traded. same here.

i was thinking of going with black again but i was tempted by the blue.

i wouldn't mind the big display and also the fact that the '21 is Sync4 but it's not a deal breaker. the 8" display is adequate.

so are the four door windows laminated with the plastic sandwiched so they'll stay intact if they shatter?

well, i can now  officially join this ST sub-forum. I pulled the trigger. i stopped by the dealer where i take my '16 for service and told them that if they made me a really good deal I would take it. they did and I took it. so in two days i'll go pick up my brand new 2020 Edge ST in Ford Performance Blue. It has the 401A, the cargo accessory package and the 21" black wheels. I am psyched to get it. this will be the third edge we have (2009, 2016, and now 2020). I like the edge for its size and comfort and versatility. looking forward to the new tech, especially the headlights and adaptive cruise. those are the two biggest things that will make driving more comfortable.

i always de-badge my cars so one of the first things i'll do it take off the Edge and ST emblems from the back. I had a quick look at the ST emblem on the grill but it looks like it's built-in to the grill. maybe i'll just black it out.

of course, now i'll have to apply all the hacks like eliminating the double-honk when i leave the car with it running and a few others.

i'll post pics when the weather clears up a bit.

thanks to everyone who has replied on this thread. it's great to get other people's opinions and answers to questions.

That is wonderfull news and welcome to the ST club. First mod to do is replace the weak single horn with a dual horn from a 2016 to 2018 model year

  3. the interior in my 2016 creaks and rattles like crazy. are the 2020 models better?

My 2019 has no rattles or squeaks.

    - i find the road noise to be pretty bad in my 2016, both on the hankook original tires and the michelin winter tires. any improvements there?

Very quiet with original Continental all season or the Dunlop winters. Laminated windshield and door glass. and a lot of sound deadener packed into it. my 2109 had the fake engine noise pipped through the speakers but i beleive they removed that for the later 2019 builds & 2020

    - the headlights on my 2016 absolutely SUCK. I live in a somewhat rural area and there is a lot of wildlife; bears, cougars, racoons, and millions of deer. I can't see didly at night. How are the LED lights in the 2020 ST? good? fair? excellent? the fact that there are fog lights would help light up the side of the road a bit which would help a lot.

LEDs and LED fog lights are fantastic. Had a 2016 SEL and the lights were terrible. one of the main reasons why i traded it in

    - finally, i'm wondering if i can keep a few accessories from my '16 and use them on the '20; 18" winter wheels and tires (no big brakes package on the '20 ST), rubber floor mats (original ford), the plastic tray in the cargo area (also original ford), the cargo area cover. the 2019 and onwards was just a cosmetic refresh and not a new car, right? my guess is that all this stuff will fit.

I used to have a 2016 SEL and a lot of the accessories are direct fit on the 2019 ST: still using my 18" winters, my husky matts, etc... The only thing that i miss is the driver left side storage drawer. they done with it on the 2018+ MY.

And on the 2020, you also loose the top centre dash storage.

Anyone have that part name/number for the little drawer, as I'd like to add that to my 2019? EDIT : It's called the Stowage Box and part 46441 from what I see online. It's like $120 and up - anyone got a black one they wanna part with? :)

Also any measurements as to how big it is on the inside?

Your best option is to look for used ones in salvage yards.

Are you noticing the problem in  S Mode when letting the car autoshift or when you are using the paddles?  I don't notice much to complain about in auto shift mode, but when trying to use paddles it makes me wonder if I am doing something wrong  or lack coordination?  When shifting from 3rd to 4th gear using paddles the cars bucks and doesn't really  appear to shift.   On some of the other gears the actual shift is much delayed from the activation of the paddle.  I feel that Ford Engineering has more programming to do with the S Mode when using paddles.

I wonder if at  the ST Experience (or whatever it's called) test track,  paddles are used in the S mode?  For anyone who attended, did the car you drove behave the same as your own car in S mode using paddles?  If it behaved like mine, I'd think Ford Engineering would be embarrassed.

Please let us know what the dealer says.  Ask the dealer if  Ford Engineering will be made aware of your complaint?

I gave up on the paddles after the first use. Ford has still to make significant progress as it relates to the paddle shifters. The problem is mostly noticeable in S mode when slowing down and it starts downshifting into the lower gears. Sometimes before coming to a full stop it feels like it's slamming the transmission into 1st. it's mainly that downshift through 4-3-2-1 range when slowing down where I feel it most. the other applies as well when launching from a full stop, the upshift through the lower gears still very noticeable and harsh. The problems are more prominent when I turn off traction/stability control. I believe my transmission issue is more then a programming issue and might be more mechanical (torque converter or sticky solenoid or something else...).

TSB 20-2190 issued in June '20 will likely fix most ST transmission issues that are software related. If you've not had this applied get it done. Tell them it is bucking and you have hard shifts and to apply TSB 20-2190.

Had the tsb done on mine early august and for me it made the transmission worse, specially in sport mode. In D mode it's fine but not where i would like it to be. Will be taking it back early september to have them look at it again.

I have successfully installed V3.4.43 on saturday (I downloaded it before it was retracted. No bugs so far) and have downloaded the NA 119 maps to install this weekend. Will let you know if the Maps version gets updated. Currently showing NA117 although I had installed NA118 when it was made available.

I installed the maps update yesterday and it is showing NA 119 version

2018 Edge Titanium here, already have forscan and cable. Ive been trying to get Global Close added and havent had any success with f150 codes. I'd be happy to try out the climate/instrument cluster change as well.

Try these values from the Fusion G2

IPC 720-05-01  xxXxx xxxx xxxx xxBx-xxxx-xxx (climate in right cluster)
8xxx-xxxx-xxxx (removes CD/Sirius from right cluster

    Global Windows Remote Close:
726-17-01 (2014+ MY) xXxX xXxX xXxx
    (BdyCM) 0101 0101 014A (Enabled - Default)
      0000 0000 0045 (Disabled)

    Global Windows Remote Open:
726-17-02 (2014+ MY) xXxX xXxX xXxx
    (BdyCM) 0101 0101 014B (Enabled - Default)
