  1. After getting caught driving home in a heavy snow last night 1-21-11 I am not impressed with the 20" all weather Scoripins on my 2010 MKX AWD. My wife was driving in a 2010 Infiniti G37X AWD and had half the stopping distance. After trading in my 2007 EDGE AWD I am not sure if I should get a better all season tire or go for some winter tires. Make no mistake! These wlll NOT stop you and are also terrible in turns compaired to my EDGE with all weather Conti tracks.
  2. My 2007 SEL AWD is the same way. Here in Nebraska you get all kinds of dirt, salt, snow and crap stuck in the brakes. It usually goes away after a few applications of the brake system. My wife's 2007 Mazdaspeed sex does it so bad the the rear disc brakes make a load "pop" in the morning when backing out of our garage. Love my Edge....50K on it now. cuerovman
  3. I ended up getting the Michelin LTX and love them. What a difference in all aspects of driving and traction. Picked them up at tirerack.com good luck to all cuervoman
  4. I had the same wine at 8K miles. After a LOT of work it ended up being as simple as the right rear wheel bearing. I now have 40K on this Edge with no other problems.
  5. Hello to all the Edge owners on this wonderful forum. Well, it is time for new tires on my 2007 SE AWD. Just hit 45K miles and the tires are getting noisy and the wear bumps are showing. The Edge came with Continental Cross Contact LX. They have been fine but did get too much noise for me after 25K. I have the 18" chrome wheels with the 245-60-18 Tires. I have always liked Michelin but they are more money. This is mostly highway driving and we do get rain and snow.....I did look at the Michelin Latitude Tour HP and see they are now coming on the new Edge and MKX vehicles. Does anyone have any input on changing tires? From one brand to another? Thanks for the help!
  6. Check the Right Rear wheel bearing! On my 07 SEL AWD they replaced the rear end, the CPU and it still had the noise. It was a "low moan" type of noise. It was always worse when it was cold and between 40 and 50 MPH. It would go away at a higher speed. The bearing is coming in today and will be installed. I do hope that fixes it.
