  1. Thank you, found it. I took the oil filter off to get better access and after trying various combinations of extensions and universals I ended up using a 3" extension, turning it with a small vice grip. I soaked the switch in penetrating oil for a few minutes first. It's a very tight space with room for only 1 hand and took some work to remove and install the switch, but all is good now. I don't know how any more than 1 person could work on this.
  2. Every now and the the low oil pressure warning comes on when I come to a stop. Oil is at max and no crazy sounds come from the engine. I'd like to replace the sensor, but I can't locate it on the engine. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
  3. There is only one way to mount the camera, so that would not work.
  4. Your joking....I hope!! I have installed a new camera and the image is properly oriented, but I do not have guidelines and the zoom feature does not work.
  5. I had lost the guidelines with the update in the summer of 2015 and then my camera would intermittently fail. A couple of months ago the image went upside down. I took it to the dealer to have the APIM replaced, pursuant to a TSB, and they said the APIM was fine so they would not replace it, and the issue with the upside down camera was the camera itself. Quoted me $458 to replace the camera! I purchased an OEM camera for $128 and replaced it myself...took 15 minutes. While the image is now correct, I still do not have the guidelines. I have toggled the camera settings, and pulled and reset the CB, but still no guidelines. Are the guidelines generated from the camera, APIM, or neither?
  6. 2011 Lincoln MKS owner. I know this thread is old, but I'm having the same problems. After the MFT upgrade in the summer of 2015, I lost the guide lines and proximity markings on the rear camera. About 3 months ago, I first got a blank screen with the contact dealer message. That would pop up every now and then. In the last month, the image has gone upside down. I saw that there was a TSB that extended the warranty on the APIM for 5 years on the MKX and 4 years on the Edge, so I took it to my dealer yesterday. After sitting there for 2 1/2 hours they told me that the APIM was fine and it is the camera that's bad. Quoted me $458 dollars to fix! I said no thanks. I took me less than 10 minutes to remove the liftgate panel, take out the 1 mounting screw and remove the camera. I unseated the wiring harness and reattached it to see if that would maybe help...it did not. I re-installed the camera and put the liftgate cover back and ordered a new camera from a dealer for $128. I still have my doubts that this is a camera issue, as everything seems to point to a software issue inside the APIM, so I'll see what happens after I replace the camera.
