  1. I am getting 13v into the controller and 13v out. 2 fans and neither is coming on. Seems one fan would come on and not both at same time. Could it be something besides the fans and controller? If I need to I'll get the kit too akirby, It's about $210 here and the controller itself is nearly that much.
  2. Daughter is in town and complaining about engine overheating while car not moving. I checked the #39 fuse and it is fine. The fuse has 13v coming in. A/C full blast and neither fan comes on. I don't see a relay in the power distribution box under the hood. Suggestions? Thanks
  3. It ended up being as simple as changing the battery in the key. It was only happening when her key was the only being used and then not detected. Thanks everybody.
  4. It's not a remote start and I put a Duracell battery in about 2 or 3 years ago. Not sure of the CCA's , but I'm sure I matched or exceeded the original CCAs. Starting to think the the contact in the pushbutton also. Thanks WWW Now I'll look for the "No Key Detected Msg" displayed But I don't think that has come up at that time. Will keep updated.
  5. I tried it first thing this morning and on first push there was nothing. Not a sound of any kind. Second push started nice and strong. I'll try it again later when she gets home.
  6. My wife drives it everyday and she describes symptoms very vaguely LOL. I.ve only tried it a few times and have not had a problem, but from what I gather there would be a reving or winding sound upon starting that would last a few seconds and that started a week or two ago. Last week she noticed an occasional not starting when pushing ignition button the first time. This week it is a bit more frequent. She is not sure of any sounds or lack of when it does not start. I'm just starting to troubleshoot so I will get back with anything to add.
  7. Wife is having to try a couple of times over the last few days to have engine turn over. Just checked the battery with meter and shows 12.43v. Next I'll need to check connections to starter. I haven't had to look for it yet on the Edge and am curious to know just where it is. Not much room under there so if you can describe exactly where it is I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
  8. Hi GK. Did the camera go out completely all at once or did it get blurry or flicker awhile first?
  9. Incredible! There isn't one available under about $325. or so. I think The peeps posting here on how to fix/replace the camera has either A. Caused a shortage. People now buying the supply and not enough around. B. Caused Ford to raise prices because there aren't enough 'Can you please replace my camera for $5- 900 Dollars'. A shortage is one thing ..the latter a major gouge! It also reflects what I suspect and that the cameras are inherently defective. They are not sealed properly and that is what is causing a good part or most of the problems. Ford needs to own up to it and reimburse camera failures for being defective.
  10. I did it without needing the AT4Z-9942528-A NAMEPLATE $ 24 But I've got guitar playing, agile fingers. LOL A little work and the camera holder thingee gets around the nameplate clip. If I remember right I pried the big pieces apart some to make room, but gently. Saved that $24. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17508-reverse-cam-woes/page-4 #69

Best afFORDable (cheesey I know) OBDII WIFI for IOS is what I'm spending too much time tracking down . Need Help! Thanks!!
  12. Wlepse, You used Forscan with an OLM OBD II is that correct?
  13. Bump cuz somebody has got to know what to do with these scratches. Thanks!
  14. Much better! Thanks Russell!! I took the camera apart as suggested by Russell and cleaned the inside lens and screen. I didn't take all the lenses out because they looked to be sealed well. I pried the camera apart with a screwdriver instead of cutting it open. I think it wasn't sealed well and that's where moisture got in with a film on the inside lens. The little screw holding the camera clip in place was a buger to get out. I think a 7/64 allen wrench could be used to unscrew it from behind. I didn't have a dremel to slot it so I ended up drilling the plastic around the screw a bit til it was able to pop out. I then put it back together with a nut and bolt and lock washer. Probably easiest in the long run anyhow.

  16. That makes sense to me Russell. It is blurry as if the outside lens could just be wiped off, but that does not solve the problem. I'm not sure how it got dirty inside all of a sudden, but maybe when I take it apart i will know. Just what kind/brand of silicone did you use? How long ago did you make the repair? Thanks, Frank
  17. It got a little stone chip and before I knew it the emblem was stripped bare! Wondering about what paint it needs...or just easier to replace? How has anybody else dealt with this?
  18. Wondering if the paint pens are right for these or is there a better way?
  19. I'm about to use the xk317Hx method to remove and replace the camera in my 2012 Edge. One day it was nice and clear next day blurry. Tried everything to clear it up but decided it's time to try a camera change. Question is.....Is it always necessary to have the dealer reprogram for a new camera change? Thanks.
  20. Hello Tinaswalters, no I have not resolved the issue. Did you have any luck with the blurry screen?
  21. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and can help troubleshoot. Woke up one morning and the backup picture was blurry on the Mytouch touchscreen. Gently wiped off the lens with glass cleaner and soft cloth to no avail. Made sure it stayed dry for a month in case there was condensation in the lens but it is still blurry. The guide works and signals when an object is close....but picture does not look nearly as focused as it did before.
  22. Wrong spot I know.... Trying to delete. Moved to Sync Access....... I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and can help troubleshoot. Woke up one morning and the backup picture was blurry on the touch screen. Gently Wiped off the lens with window cleaner and soft cloth but that did not help. Made sure it stayed dry for a month in case there was condensation inside the lens but it is still blurry. Thanks
