  1. My 2008 is around 232,500 miles. Bought it used at 89k. It began its life as a rental in Florida. Change the oil with Motorcraft 5w-20 Synthetic Blend and Motorcraft filter every 5k and air filter every 10-15k. Changed spark plugs twice and did the transmission TSB myself replacing the TSS, OSS and filling back up with original trans fluid. Replaced 1 Radiator & 1 fan assembly, Will probably need a driver's side axle sooner than later, but boot(s) not ripped and still functioning with some clicking when turning the wheel. Drove it 28k+ this past year between tag renewals.
  2. Were the water pumps updated to an external style(in front of )timing cover, or were they kept internal(inside )timing cover so they could still fail internally as on previous models? I know the 2011+ 3.7s were updated in the F150 & Mustang to external, but wasn't sure if Edges and other FWD based Fords/Lincolns were updated also...?? Looking at possibly upgrading my 2008 to a 2011-14 3.7 Edge.?
  3. Were the water pumps updated to an external style(in front of )timing cover, or were they kept internal(inside )timing cover so they could still fail internally as on previous models? Looking at upgrading my 2008 to a 2018 SEL with the 3.5.?
  4. Ever figure out what the problem was? I was going to ask if you thought the booster was seated properly when re-installing...?? I am getting ready to tackle this job on my 08. Any tips or tricks? I heard taking the cowl cover off makes booster removal/replacement a little easier... TIA
