As with any turbo, allow it time to cool before you shut the engine down. End your drive with moderate to easy driving, maybe even a bit of idling.
Had 4 VW turbo diesels and a turbo diesel Excursion. Never had a turbo problem and I pretty much always allow them to cool, especially the Excursion when towing.
Don't hot rod home and shut it down.

Do you use the mobile version of the site? I find the admin on discussion boards tend to use computers and the full site and the rest of us use the mobile version

I guess I need to take mine to a lift and remove the belly pan and see for sure. Pics to come if I do.
Not that I don't believe you.
Just have to see it for myself to truly believe it

Conflicting posts here and there.
Yes, no, I don't know for sure?
Surely by now someone knows.

I get the warning on the first post or reply of the day, so...

No problems other than our Edge came without the Homelink visor it's supposed to have. Dealer will install it though.
Everything else looks very good. Just hope the roof paint holds up better than our Excursion's did. Gonna seal the roof/ hood paint.
Factory incentives on leftover 15s saved us many $1,000.

.......never thought that I would ever say this, but..........................just lease and make it someone else problem!
Never thought I'd say this but we keep our vehicles long enough not have payments for many years

Read about all the things that can go wrong and plan a strategy to combat them.
IE: PTU on AWD vehicle.

Is it blowing non air-conditioned air or hot air like the heat is on?

Thus why all these new 'convenience' features aren't convenient.

Sent join request (twice). Nothing...

Damn. Guess I've been reading in all the wrong places.

A 2015 Edge already has a PTU drain plug.

Never seen an over inflated tire wear in the middle. I've HEARD of it happening. Never seen it. I've run 40-44 in the VWs for years and they always wear perfectly and have no traction problems. Not saying the Edge won't as I have 350 miles of experience with it so far.
I've seen under inflated wear on the edges however.
Wander? Some call that responsive

A long hold

Been reading on the PTU stuff and here's what I think I'm going to do:
Change the PTU oil every 20,000 miles using a vacuum (Pella oil extractor) to get the oil out. Fill with with genuine Ford stuff. When my warranty is up I'll then add a drain plug so as not to give them a reason to void warranty.
I may pull a sample out at 10 and 15k just to see what it looks like and adjust from there.
Anyone object to that

Took one for a long test drive. Meh...

Had to call in to get it 'activated'. Person I got barely spoke English. Went round and round and finally had to get a supervisor. Supervisor did it in no time flat.

I don't think I've ever put two tires on a car. Always 4 at a time.
2013 Edge Sport JUNK!

It's funny how all these Sports have 'problems'. Either they're on a different assembly line or they have a different type of owner...
