  1. Vinyl wrap it. I'm sure you will save quite a bit going that route plus it won't look cheap!

Thanks for the suggestion…but 1st, I don't know anyone in my area doing this and 2nd, I don't want to remove the parts from the dash… and 3rd…why do you say that it would look cheap? I've done a complete kit in my '02 Thunderbird (see picture) and it looked terrific, looked original to the untrained eye!...

  2. I'm very tempted in getting a gloss black dash kit for my '16 Titanium. I don't plan on using all the parts included in the kit, just the ones around the shifter, the small storage compartment door, heated seats and radio and heater controls and last, the touch screen surround piece. (I'm including a picture of the pieces I'm talking about below)...There is already some factory-installed gloss black pieces on the console and doors (where the switches are) but I find that the area I just described above would be a nice addition which would blend-in with the factory pieces...

    What do you guys think?

  3. For a '16 Edge, can someone please explain how to delete the addresses from the "Previous Destinations" file? :headscratch: I tried today again and again with no luck. In my '11 MKX, it was simple…you just went into the "previous destinations" file and besides each address there was an icon you could click to delete the addresses but I can't seem to find how to do it in my new '16 Edge. :rant2:

    Any help is appreciated...

  4. Did you buy it because you liked it or just to get comments from others? If you like it then that's all that should matter.

I bought it because I already liked the new Edge but I must admit that the color greatly influenced my choice. I agree that what really matters is that it pleases Me. ;)

    and

"Basic" colors are easier to appreciate. "Electric Spice" is NOT a basic color by far. It definitely stands out in a crowd, but at the same time, likely divides the audience.

I agree…It's one of those colors that either you like it or you don't. I do.

  5. On the '15s, only the Sport had the Electric Spice color scheme.

Yeah but it now appears that it's available on any model…Proof is that I just saw an SEL in "Electric Spice" last week! It's also available on Escapes too. Don't know if it's available on Lincolns though...

    Claude.

P.S: Right now, I'm beginning to have mixed feelings about the color… At first, I was thrilled about it but now that I've owned the vehicle for 5 months with almost no positive comment about the color, I now understand why I don't see any of them in that color : --> People don't like it, plain and simple, (even my girlfriend doesn't like it) and dealers just don't order them by fear of remaining stuck with them on their lots. At the dealer where I bought mine, I was told that it's the only Edge they've had in "Electric Spice" along with one Escape… If I knew, I would've chosen the same vehicle but finished in "Ruby Red" instead...

  6. I'm going to have them look at the rear passenger door when go in for an oil change. It definitely is not sitting correctly, I think a lot of the noise is coming from that. And the top near the open side I can see the paint from through a crack in the door

Funny that you mention this…I've had the exact same problem with mine which the dealer fixed and it now aligns correctly with the front door. But one thing I noticed is that the rear door chrome mouldings which surround the glass doesn't align with the mouldings of the small rear quarter glass. I've looked at other Edges and found that a lot of them are like that...

  7. I bought my 2016 Edge Titanium, "Electric Spice" with 20" wheels, Navigation, DVD players in headrests, moonroof etc...in April and I'm happy with it. The only issue I'm still having is about the Sync3 which has a hard time functioning correctly with my cell phone and the dealer wasn't able to make it work either. Other than that, I had to have the passenger side doors adjusted at the dealer 'cause they were a little uneven at the top when closed, but that is ok now. Before that, I had a "Kona Blue" 2011 Lincoln MKX which I kept for my girlfriend…She loves it.

  8. Settings > General > Accessibility > Incoming Calls. The choices are "Default" "Headset" and "Speaker". Set to "Speaker".

Thanks "enigma-2" for trying to help me, but the parameters on my cell phone are not like that. :( What puzzles me is that I can make a call using the Sync but cannot answer when I receive one… …go figure... So what I did is to simply turn the Bluetooth settings to "off" and use my phone through it's built-in speaker…too bad but I guess I'll have to live with that Sync s**t.

  9. Is it me but I noticed that most Edges I see which are finished in "Electric Spice" color are all "Sport" models?…Mine is a '16 "Titanium" in "Electric Spice"… Is that rare or not?… Someone at my dealer told me that they received only two vehicles in that color, mine and an Escape...

Are there any other members here with a titanium in that color or am I the only one? :headscratch:

    Hi Claude,

I'd like to help with your SYNC concerns! What kind of phone are you using? Can you explain what happens exactly when you try to pair it to SYNC?

    Joy

Thank you Joy for your reply. The cell phone I'm using is a Sonim XP5520. What I don't understand is that it did work in my 2011 Lincoln MKX but not in my new Edge and the dealer, not being able to make it work simply took the easy way out saying that it was my phone which had something wrong... :(

The problem is that when it's paired, I can see it on the screen but if someone calls, it's the phone which rings and I cannot hear or talk unless I pick up the phone and use it normally. Does not go through the Sync.

  11. I want to buy some custom wheels for my new 2016 Edge Titanium and would like 22"s or maybe 24"s. I've searched all over the net for some pictures of second generation Edges with custom wheels but only found a handful of them. I know it's a matter of personal taste but I like "bling", or if you prefer chromed wheels over the current trend of black ones. Every year, I travel to South Florida and I know about several vendors in that area (I even bought a set of 22" DeCenti's for my girlfriend's 2011 MKX while down there) and I definitely plan to shop for wheels while I'm down there. Curiously, these places sell some brands I've never heard about before (some which are very nice!) and it makes me wonder why I've never seen these wheels before when doing a search on the net. Most of the time, it's the same brands which keep showing up again and again...

    What would you guys do?

    thanks,

    Claude. :noobie:

  12. Like the title says, I'm a new member from Canada (Province of Quebec). My name is Claude and I just bought a brand new 2016 Edge Titanium in "Electric Spice" color and I've also owned a 2011 Lincoln MKX for four years and transferred it to to my girlfriend when I bought the Edge. I'm also a member on several other car-related forums ("TurboBuick.com", "Team Chevelle" and "Chevelleforum.org"). I'm a big muscle cars fan and own two, an '87 Buick Grand National which I use for cruising, shows and occasional drag racing and also a 1971 Chevelle SS for cruising and shows.

Well that's about it for now… talk to you guys soon! :salute:
