  1. Have not been online for the last month.... Beginning of October: Pulled our pop-up for he first time behind the Edge. It was SO much nicer to pull with than the van we had previously. I was overly impressed. Mid-October: Finally sourced and replace the factory taillights with an LED version. Freaking awesome. Ours is a 2008, so it looks modernized. The tails are so much brighter, my wife is thrilled with the outcome. Our family has seen alot of accidents over the last few years, so I am happy for any element to make me stand out better. End of October, heading into November...... Sinking money I can not afford into my Jeep out of necessity. But it is time to start showing my Mustang more love.....
  2. Pics won't pull up for me. Not sure how, but the original owners scratched up the emblems pretty bad. Is this like a refinish? Or would it be better to order new emblems?
  3. Oh darn. Lucky you. No warranty here. Thank you for the update.
  4. Research, research, and a little more..... This should probably be in my introduction thread, but it came to me when I was looking here. Unexpectedly picked up an 2008 Edge a month back. Now trying to navigate the lack of aftermarket parts available. First set of LED bulbs I picked up did not work. Finally found an LED aftermarket my wife likes (her commuter). Dug through the garage for a minute to determine if parts I have from previous vehicles would work to two our pop-up behind the edge. Could not find the parts. I have one more weekend to look. Had to drive my wife's school commute.... I have been using this as my commuter on days she does not need, BUT... The idiots on her drive dwarf my idiots. As much as I don't want to spend $800ish on performance for this vehicle, the Edge needs a boost. In other words, the edge will be getting the K&N intake and SCT re-tune, when we return from our local Oktoberfest in a couple weeks. The only other thing I can find, is the exhaust system, which my wife said: "I do not want it to sound like the Mustang or the jeep". Alrighty.... And she said "NO" to nitrous. Good, that money is slated for my Stang. Anyway, any input? or not. That is what happened today. At least we are kinda on the same page. Jason
  5. Awesome... Thank you for the response. Can't wait to hear additional details, especially if you up the octane and tune.... Jason
  6. No pics of the Edge loaded yet.
  7. We found a Limited AWD. 121,000 Nope not the first, but the only person in the family who is willing to own a Ford....
  8. Digging up an old one.... What happened?
  9. Seems to be a common issue with this engine.... Are there any symptoms leading up to the failure?
  10. Due to our circumstances, we were forced to emergency shop. We had previously planned on waiting until she was back to work. She would be getting a Wrangler Unlimited. We spent the weekend leading up to 'my weekend', checking out every possible option she might possibly want and we could afford. We spent two crazy days eliminating all options. It came down to the Chrysler Pacifica, Nissan Murano or a 2006 Grand Cherokee Hemi. She liked the Pacifica, but the center console protrudes too far out into my leg. We did not get to drive the Murano, but "it feels to small inside" We did not drive the Hemi, but other Grand Cherokees felt more top heavy than her previous vehicle. Evening time comes. Get the kids home and out of riding in the Mustang all day. We decide to head over the local Chevy dealer. It is the only new car dealer in our area. We head to their use lot to eliminate Mid-sized GM SUV's. As my wife browsed the Edge in the lot, it was way too much. He brought back the keys and said the sales manager wants it gone. Here is the bottom price. That was less than I could have expected. We drove it home. Checked it out closer. She loved it. Loved the sun screens. The handling was much better than the Cherokee. Interior space was improved over the Murano. She has never been so excited about learning about a vehicle. Not the brand new van she had to have in 2006. Not even the Mustang we brought home a few years ago that left her grinning whenever she drove it. It's only been 24 hours....
  11. Back when I utilized the Costco program (3 times)... I was not ordering. It was products on the lot. But the salesmen did mention their contract was for anything new, they had on the lot. There might be ways around it. It might have been BS, but was not a concern of mine. What I was looking for, they had.
  12. Well, usually troll for a while before posting to a new forum, but not this time. Might as well make a first post here. Unexpectedly, we have to pick up a new, used auto for my wife. It will probably become my driver over the winter. Next summer it will hopefully become my 'daily'. After a two day frantic search, ruling out all options. Found a 2008 Edge last night. She liked; we bought. Now trying to adjust to the lack of aftermarket support. Figure I will find some direction through these pages. Hello everyone....
