I did the master reset. The card was the one in the car when I purchased it 4 months ago. Its an A6, so that sounds right for a late build 2014 Edge ??. But cant be sure. I don't have an older card to try. My software says 4.32.14073. When I checked on buying a new SD card it said that this version was fine, And it has worked fine for 4 months (I use it every day). Very disappointed in these ford navs. Everyone I have owned has had problems.

Ok, I tried that. it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

I will give that a shot. When I turned the car on this morning it worked fine. After the car sat in the hot parking lot for 5 hours and turned the car on it didn't work as soon as I turned on the car. I removed the card several times and it didn't come back on.

I have a 2014 Edge Limited(26k miles). It has an A6 SD Card. It was working fine until the other day. Now I am receiving a "Navigation SD Card Fault" notification on my screen and my navigation has stopped working. I pulled out the SD card and reinserted it numerous times. It started working again twice by doing that, but stopped working within a few minutes. I disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes and reconnected it and the Nav worked for 1 whole day. Now its not working again. I have seen older posts and never have seen a resolution for the problem. I would by a new SD card if I new it would fix it but I see that other people have done that and it still didn't work. I'm sure its some bug in the sync system. When I checked Sync it said I have the most updated version 3.7. On my system information screen in the car it says "navigation application version 3.62.5" Anyone know a fix?

Thanks for all the options! I thought of cleaning it with a cd/dvd cleaning disk, but wasn't sure how well it would work. Or how it would work, since there isn't a play button. Maybe it would spin a little while trying to read it? I don't want to spend a ton of money on it since the car has 205,000 miles. The car still runs and looks great though! The only thing that doesn't work is the navigation. And the notorious loose drivers seat! If anyone has used a cleaning disk, or has any insight on it please let me know! Thanks again!!!!

My 2008 Edge has the factory nav. I am now starting to receive an error code on the screen. it says "a system error has occurred. navigation features are currently unavailable. The DVD may be dirty. Remove it and check it for fingerprints or smudges. Clean using a soft dry cloth wiping from the center to edge." So I did that and it still tells me the same thing. Every once in a while it will work, but its getting more common not to work. Anyone have this issue?? Or know how to resolve?? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!

Thanks for the info! Sounds good! One question though...my only concern was the power lift gate arm, does the cover have some kind of a cut-out to get around that??

I have work "stuff" I would like to keep out of site, and I don't just want to put a towel over it. I want to keep it hidden. I travel a lot and some areas are a little sketchy!

They removed the filter due to poor air flow. People were complaining that the a/c seats didn't have enough air coming out of them. At least that's Fords official response....

Has anyone installed an aftermarket cargo cover that they like? I found one on Amazon. Its made by "Kaungka"?? It looks pretty good and its retractable. Better than the Ford one I think. Its only $73.99.

The torque mount was bad as well as the transmission mount under the airbox. It drives like new now!

It was the Transmission mount under the airbox! Had it replaced today and its smooth as silk. Thanks everyone!

I asked the shop i normally take my car to and they said there are 2 motor mounts a trans mount (under the airbox) and the torque mount (which i have replaced) Is that correct?

I watched your video about checking motor mounts. Your engine seems to move much more than mine. I had my wife rev the engine and it only moved maybe a 1/2" back and forth, so maybe an inch total, maybe. Do you think that vibration could be something else? Also is that mount considered the right or left? btw I have the "orange crush" as well ! Best color ever ! Thanks for your help!

​I have already done the torque arm mount. So I guess I have to get the other two. I changed plugs twice, once at 80k and again at 140k. I have cleaned the fuel injection system cleaned twice as well. Drives super smooth except at that rpm range of 2500-3500 in 4th an 5th gear pretty much. A little vibration at idle, but is much better since the torque mount was replaced. I just don't know what else could make that vibration. As soon as it shifts and the rpms drop it smooth as silk. Just weird. I will definitely get the Ford mounts!

Having an engine vibration at idle and around 2500-3500 rpms in certain gears. I had the transmission torque mount replaced today, It was definitely bad, the rubber was all torn up. Still having vibrations though. (not as bad) Thinking it needs motor mounts too? It has 185,000 miles. How many motor mounts are there??? Seems hard to find on internet, and pricing is all over the place! I know they cost more but I would much rather use Ford parts.

I have an 08 and there is definitely a glare. There is no disputing it. Armor all makes it a little worse but it doesn't matter. I haven't used armor all in years, but depending on the time of day, direction your driving and amount of sunshine will depend how much glare you will get. Sunglasses help. I usually pray for a cloud.

Its not really speed dependent, it rpm dependent. Im gonna bring it to my mechanic Friday and see what he says.

Yes. Plugs and pcv have been done numerous times. Fixed a bad coil. Its definitely not a coil. It feels more like drivetrain to me. You can feel it in the car. As soon as it shifts and the rpms drop down its smooth. Anyone think it could be a CV??? They are original.

I have a 2008 edge with 184,000 miles. Just recently we noticed a small vibration around 2500 to 3500 rpms. Its usually felt in 3rd or 4th gear, when its in that rpm range for a little longer period of time. You can feel it in the steering wheel and hear it somewhat as well. Feels like something in the drive train maybe. Otherwise its smooth as silk. Any ideas??

I thought my trans was going out too. It ended up being a bad coil.

Just replaced our amp on our 2008 edge. I was able to get the amp online for $67. The dealer wont sell you the amp anymore. You have to buy the whole subwoofer and plastic enclosure with the amp for $315! It took a while to find it online but was well worth it! The model number has changed over the years, and it looks a little different, but it works like a charm. Only a 30 minute install too!
