  1. My 2008 Ford Edge - 111K miles - is at the Dealership now. They confirmed my vehicle didn't qualify for the extended warranty (same EXACT symptoms and issue). The dealership service manager tried for an "Assist" - guess some internal process the mechanics can try - and no luck. The cost estimate is $628 parts and labor!!! I submitted a complaint to the NHTSA (ID 10909761). I am getting ready to call into the Ford Customer Service number 800-392-3673. From what I can see there are well over 37 complaints reported in different forums for vehicle outside of what qualifies under the 13N02 bulletin! Here are the ones officially reported to the NHTSA from what I can see - http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov and search Ford Edge select keyword search 13N02. Hope this helps get someone's attention as to how overlooked this issue is and Ford does the right thing. I have to add that the part is the same exact part as listed in the bulletin for the 2010 - AT4Z2005A.
