  1. Enjoy your new Edge. I installed the factory cross rails and posted the install at th elink below. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=2827 Pretty cheap and easy to do. If you plan on carrying anything on the roof, be sure to get the stubby antena that is also in my post. This forum is great. You will find multiple postings regarding floor mats. I am waiting on some factory rubber mats I bought off of ebay. Many people like WeatherTech or Husky. I have the Weathertech cargo mat. Have fun.
  2. I have seen on many of the hitch harness posts people talking about having to run a power wire all the way to the front of the car. Wouldn't it be much easier just to tap power off of the 12V power point in the cargo area? If the car is on this would have power and it should have sufficient fuseing to handle the load of trailer lights.

  5. I have a college vanity plate on my "Ramblin' Wreck" Georgia Tech. You don't get a choice on the numbers after the GT. GO YELLOW JACKETS!!! TO HELL WITH DEM LOWLY UGA DAWGS!!! Did you see how bad GT beat Miami last night? 472 yards rushing! oops. sorry. wrong forum. GO FORD!
  6. I can see the final scene now: back seats are down, Bond and Pussy Galore wrapped in a silk sleeping bag drinking champagne, the camera pans out above as we see the couple through the Vista sunroof, and the live happily ever after.
  7. Here is the profile view of the bumper saver / protectors that are being sold on ebay currently.
  8. Thanks Lex. I checked out your bumper saver pic and I really don't think it is any thicker than the one I have. I will try and take a profile photo and post it. Yours is a little longer, but the one I bought does cover the entire width of the actual back opening, so I should be covered. I do think I like the look of the longer one better though.
  9. Thanks Lex. I have been using regualr walmart mats. They work just fine, but aren't quite wide enough. It looks like the going rate for the factory mats is $70 plus s&h. I haven't checked with my Ford dealer yet.
  10. Can someone post photos of Factory All Weather Floor mats installed? I am considering getting them and would especially like to see how well they cover the from floors. I searched the forum and could only find photos of Weather Tech and Husky floor mats. Thanks!
  11. I bought one of the rear bumper protectors from ebay. It installed very easily with three rows of 3M tape. It is thick enough rubber to truly protect the bumper during loading/unloading. I believe the Ford protector is just a thin sticker. The contour of the protector matched the curve of the bumper perfectly. Description= FORD EDGE / MKX BUMPER COVER MOLDING 2007-2008 PREVENTS BUMPER SCRATCHES - Seller= tcmalcom. Price=$44.45 (including shipping). I have attached four photos of the install and one scan of the install directions. GO YELLOWJACKETS!! TO HELL WITH THE UGA DAWGS!

  13. Thanks very much for the photos. Thanks to every one else for there information. This has allowed me to shut down the salesman when he first tried to tell me that maybe they didn't come with any, and also when he tried to tell me that it was basically the same material that you line shelves with. I think he was actually trying to get me to go make my own instead of him having to handle it. I can now forward these photos and ask to speak to the manager to get this handled. Thanks again fellow Edgees.
  14. I am still getting teh runaround from my dealer (JC Lewis Ford Savannah GA). I have almost 2000 miles on my car and I still don't have cup holders. They are saying that it is just simple flat pieces of rubber similar to the door handle inserts. Would someone please take a couple of photos for me? One with the cup holders installed and one with them standing alone. I would greatly appreciate it. I can't believe that I have had to make multiple phone calls and multiple trips back to the dealer for somehting so small. Thanks in advance.
  15. Can someone tell me if the Cup Holder inserts are the same cheaper material as the door handle inserts, or are they more like the molded inserts that are found in front of the shifter and on top of the dash?
