  1. The rear stabilizer links we're a PITA to install. The spring was in the way and the bolt stem was longer than the OEM ones. I had to shorten one side to match the OEM length with an angle grinder and on the first one I forgot to prethread the bolt on as a guide and to straighten out the threads -- getting the bolt on afterwards was tricky. The second time around went much smoother. Other than that and getting them lined up into the mounting holes, getting them tightened and torqued went easy.
  2. Replaced battery with an Optima Yellow Top Dh4 battery Installed Bilstein B6 struts/shocks (replaced strut bearing and rubber mounts while I had the struts out and apart) Replaced front/rear stabilizer links (with the ones from Detroit Axle) NGX spark plugs replacement New shoes -- Goodyear Assurance Maxlife (functional but not the best at reducing road noise still quieter than the stock one that came off it) Not really performance mods but dang it if my car rides and runs better than it did when I bought it!
  3. There is another thread on this very thing. I recognized it myself because I changed my own struts and over torqued that center bolt plus I didn't have the top and bottom of the strut bearing aligned (there is a mark on it that supposed to match up). I had to take the strut out again, fix it and remount it. Luckily I hadn't gotten an alignment yet but dang that was worse than having extra pieces left over!!
  4. Got it. It looks like you can get either and they would work, not sure I want to mess with how much is vented so I'm going with the simple solution.
  5. It could be the strut bearing... Maybe I'm not calling it the right thing but it's at the top of the strut tower and it turns worth the strut and wheel as they are connected. You have to drop the strut. It's a plastic piece with bearings inside it. If it's stuck, it makes that noise as it rotates across the rubber piece between it and the strut top. https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/bearing-front-suspension-strut-6439845-1#sectionId:4346233
  6. Is that the only part I would need to order?
  7. It does, that if why they have the combo valve where you can adjust how much is vented to atmosphere vs recirculating -- which keeps the turbo from having to build up pressure again. I'm not too sure you will feel a difference since the throttle is closed and the air needs to go somewhere just not in to the throttle body.
