The MKX and the Edge use the same vista roof switch. But the Edge does not have the wire for the lights. You can run a wire and hook them up which is not that difficult. I have done it and it makes quite a difference. I don't know why Ford would not have the switch light up like the MKX, hard to believe it would cost them that much to run a wire.
I am wondering how you delete a name in the quick dial portion of phone in Sync. We added a name twice in quick dial by accident, and cannot seem to find out how to delete one of the names. You can replace it with a different name but you can't seem to delete a name. I would appreciate any help.
Their is an inline connector C210 in the second photo at the drivers side pillar that has the bu-wh wire indicated by # 14 that connects to the vista roof, vanity, and mirror switches. I'm sure the MKX has the wire that runs up to the vista roof switch for illumination and the Edge doesn't.
I have the wiring diagram for the roof opening panel in regards to the illumination of the switches. The diagram shows pin 2 which is BU-WH or Blue-white which is hot and comes from the cluster and panel illumination circuit and pin 1 is BK which would be black for ground.
