  1. I recently did this job and it's not bad at all. You can easily get the tensioner/idler off from the wheel well.
  2. Anyone familiar with the TSS/OSS issues in these transmissions? EDIT: Disregard. I'm just going down rabbit holes at this point. I think I'm going to take it to a local indy shop and let them diagnose it. lol
  3. We used to top it off when we first got it, then the evap solenoid went for the first time, under warranty. The tech was nice and told us to never top it off. So we've been religious about never topping it off. I also tried the Evap defeat and there was no suction, so it isn't stuck open sadly. Thanks for taking a shot at this, I appreciate it.
  4. When it's driving it's fine but once I come to a stop the idle dips and it chugs. I've taken it on drives in hopes of a code showing up, but no dice yet. I'll take a look at the O2 sensors next for sure. Would a bad MAP sensor cause any of these issues? I pulled it and cleaned it, but there's a good amount of carbon buildup on it.
  5. Update - No more low pressure codes once I fixed the o-rings on the injectors. The problem is the stumbling is still there. I smoke tested the car and I'm not seeing any vacuum leaks. No codes from forscan either. Anyone have any shot in the dark ideas?
  6. Just in case someone needs to pull their fuel rails. Here's what the injectors need to look like. #2 and #3 disappeared for all but 3 injectors when I pulled the fuel rail. Long story short, you can order repacements here for half the cost at the dealer. https://www.autozone.com/p/mahle-fuel-injector-o-ring-kit-gs33877/1138481?searchText=fuel+injector+o-rings&productPartGroupId=azpg2374&productBrandId=FLHQ&productPositionId=3159&productUniqueId=9326166490
  7. Got the car apart again and it's looking like the fuel pressure issue was caused by me. There's o-rings on the injectors and I pinched 3 of them badly. I'm guessing it was pissing fuel out. Back to square one!
  8. Thank you very much. I scanned it tonite and it looks like a fuel pressure sensor issue. It makes me sad, because I just had it all apart for the coolant temp sensor. Here's everything forscan gave me for the error: Code: P00C6 - Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking Bank 1 Status (-AC): - DTC Maturing - Intermittent at Time of Request - Malfunction Indicator Lamp is On for this DTC Module: Powertrain Control Module Freeze Frame #1: Freeze Frame #2: -EVENT_TIME: 295695606 s (Wed May 20 17:21:02 2026) - Event time -TOTAL_DISTANCE: 312667 km - Total Distance -FUELSYS: Closed Loop - Fuel System Status (Open/Closed Loop) -LOAD: 63.14 % - Calculated Load Value -ECT: 115 °F - Engine coolant temperature -SHRTFT1: 4.69 % - Short term fuel trim 1 -LONGFT1: 10.94 % - Long term fuel trim 1 -SHRTFT2: -4.69 % - Short term fuel trim 2 -LONGFT2: 9.38 % - Long term fuel trim 2 -MAP: 11.3 psi - Manifold absolute pressure sensor -RPM: 622 1/min - Engine Revolutions Per Minute -VSS: 0.0 mph - Vehicle Speed -SPARKADV: 13.50 ° - Spark Advance -IAT: 81 °F - Intake Air Temperature -RUNTM: 35 s - Time Since Engine Start -EVAP_PCT: 0.00 % - Commanded Evaporative Purge -FLI: 30.20 % - Fuel Level -BARO: 14.5 psi - Barometric pressure -VPWR: 14.66 V - Control Module Voltage -TP_REL: 6.27 % - Relative Throttle Position -TAC_PCT: 7.84 % - Commanded Throttle Actuator Control -RPMDSD: 879 1/min - Desired Idle Speed RPM -O2S12: 0.28 V - Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor (bank 1, sensor 2) -O2S22: 0.08 V - Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor (bank 2, sensor 2) -TQ_CNTRL: Idle Speed Control - Torque Control Requested -ENGOFF_TIMER: 245 s - Timer since Engine Off -APP_FLT: No Fault - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Status -MISFIRE: No - Engine Misfire currently detected -IAT_F: No Fault - Inlet Air Temperature Sensor Status -ETC_TRIM_LRN: Yes - Throttle Angle Offset has Learned -TP_F: No Fault - Throttle Position Sensor Status -MP_LRN: Yes - Misfire Profile Correction Learned -MAF_F: No Fault - Mass Air Flow Sensor Status -MAP_F: No Fault - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Status -APP1: 0.78 V - Accelerator pedal position sensor 1 -APP2: 0.39 V - Accelerator pedal position sensor 2 -TP1: 4.24 V - Throttle Position Sensor 1 -TP2: 0.76 V - Throttle Position Sensor 2 -GEAR: 1 - Gear Commanded -GEAR_OSC: 1 - Gear Command by Output State Control -TSS_SRC: 0 1/min - Actual Turbine Shaft Speed -OSS_SRC: 0 1/min - Actual Output Shaft Speed -TFT: 82 °F - Transmission Fluid Temperature -TR: Reverse - Transmission range -PROG_FLOWTRACE1: 0 - Program Flow Trace Information - 1 -PROG_FLOWTRACE2: 0 - Program Flow Trace Information - 2
  9. Coolant temp sensor made no impact. I got my forscan dongle coming tomorrow so I'm looking forward to scanning the car. This is absolutely driving me bonkers.
  10. I never heard of forscan! Great idea. I'm going to order the adapter tonite.
  11. Livernois handheld flasher. The one you use to tune the car. It's a stretch for sure, but in my BMW a coolant temp sensor going will cause these exact symptoms. I unfortunately have been around this a bunch. I've been through 4 different purge valves, 2 of them being direct from ford. Right now I'm still waiting on a coolant line to come in and it won't be until Tuesday. So thats when I'll find out if the car is still acting like a fool. If it it's I'm going to drive it until I get some codes.
  12. So i ended up running the tests that livernois has on their handheld and I saw a P1116 code. I spent 7-8 hours tearing the car apart to get to the coolant temp sensor and replace it. I ended up breaking the tiny overflow line so I'm just waiting on that to come in to button the car up.
  13. I have a weird issue where the car will stumble and stall in D or R, but in neutral and park its perfectly fine. I had the P0456 and P1450 codes so I replaced the evap purge valve. My car has 194k miles and I find that I have to replace this valve every 80k miles or so. Anyhow, this time around I replaced the purge valve and it did NOT fix the issue. Someone had me check out the vapor canister vent valve as well, that did not fix my issue. Any ideas? My gut tells me it's fueling related because the car smells like gas when I put it in D or R.
