  1. The little things matter 😉
Added glove box compartment light back in the Edge. Don't know why Ford deleted it in the first place.
Scored a 2017 Edge glove box lamp harness and damper from the junkyard. With a little bit of DIY (dremel action & soldering), swapped out the LED PCB for a brighter aftermarket one.

I made a T-harness to tap into the passenger side (visor) vanity mirror lamp circuit. Ran that down the psngr side A-pillar all the way to the glove box.

  2. Power Fold Mirrors installed and fully functional but 360 cameras on pause. As previously mentioned, I was able to make a harness adapter 16pin-to-22pin with a 4pin pigtail for the side camera. Harness went in like a breeze.

The hole in the door where the mirror connector sits has to be widen a bit to accommodate the new 22-pin Chinese mirror. Any good rotary tool will do the trick.

Took a lot more pictures, available upon request.

Did you find a source that wasn't $10-15 in shipping? I bought mine from China as the cheapest I could find, but it was in the territory of buying a Dongar adapter, but I would rather DIY.

What sized crimpers did you use? I have 5 sets of these but all my pin crimpers are either too small (the 2.54 Dupont sized, or the next size up), or too large.

I get most of my connectors & terminals from Mouser.com

    Crimpers I use:
    iCrimp SN-2546B
    iCrimp SN-2549 (that's the one I use the most for 0.5, 0.64. 1.2, 1.5 & 2.8mm terminals)
    iCrimp SN-28B

  4. I used a set of 5-pin Molex HDAC-64 to tap power/ground off the rearview mirror for my radar detector.

    Parts used:

22 to 20 ga primary stranded automotive primary wire

    Molex Female Connector P/N: 31072-1010

    Tyco Female Terminals P/N: 1393366-1

    Molex Male Connector P/N: 31072-1040

Hell yeah, I don't see why not, If one has the skill set for that. But it's worth mentioning that the Chinese Edge mirrors (premium trim) offer camera & power fold options. Pretty Sweet !

You would need to do a little bit of wiring modification, swap out your current window switch for P/N: GT4Z-14529-AA and do some DDM Forscan code change to make the power fold option work.

Hard Lesson learned, GT4Z-14529-AA is a 4-pin window switch similar to the Fusion's. Not what we're looking for.

Instead I'm now looking at using the F150's (20-pin) power fold window switch I picked one up at the junkyard P/N: FL3T-14B133-AHW.

    The pinouts are identical.

    To be continued.

Looks amazing! My screen doesn’t have the graphic of the vehicle. I only have a toggle and brightness control.

Mine looked exactly like yours 2 days ago 😁

You can change it with Forscan. 7D0-01-02 xxxx-xxxx-Xxxx The original value at that position should be a “3”, change it to a “2”, cycle the ignition on/off et voila.

  7. Thanks for the inspiration @Wubster100

My edge is a 2022 Titanium, it came with single color ambient lighting. Took a trip to the yard and was lucky enough to score all the OEM ambient lighting parts from a 2017 Edge Titanium. The cup holder LED harness came from a 16 F150.

APIM asbuilt change 7D0-01-02 xxxx-xxxx-2xxx - from single color to pantone (aka RGB)

  9. I plan on making a Y-Harness adapter from the 22pin Chinese Edge mirror connector split into a 16pin+4pin. The 16pin will plug into the edge mirror connector car side and the 4pin will be for the camera wiring.

I included the connector housing (pdf) datasheets, you can purchase those from Mouser, Digikey or other online retailers.

I wonder if you could make these with some 3D printing and creative cutting.  I am pretty sure there is a enough room in the mirror case for the camera.

Well, I know how to read, if you read all the posts, he comments that it is not available separately, that it has to be in quantities, I estimate that at least 10, he sold all the ones he owned, which does not mean that they do not exist or that it is impossible to do it, and my question was to know where it can be obtained or where he could obtain it, but your response as a moderator is very blunt, not very cooperative, thanks anyway, and I know you will delete this post, thaks again

This looks like a really cool swap but also a challenging one if your programming skills are limited (or non-existent) LOL

Along a similar train of thought, if you have one of the upper trims, could the base cluster with analog gauges and the center screen be installed?

I honestly like that one better. I'm on board with everyone thinking the cluster with twin screens and central speedo is both boring and outdated. (It was in my 2013 Taurus and it was boring then)

    @Roadhawk , is that something you're considering ?
