  1. Sorry to hear this...on there website they have no drone listed for the S-Type...now thinking this is why they don't have an exhaust sound clip inside the car because it has drone :(  Granted I only have 72 miles on my edge but already I can't stand how quite it is and I held back 1K dollars from putting down on the car so I could put toward a cat back.

  2. Thank you onyxbfly,

Well I am on other forums and there is always some guy that doesn't have what the forum is about but wears everyone out with questions and comments.  From my very first post I stated I wanted one of these cars but it has taken me 7 months to get to that point.  Mainly wanted to wait till spring/summer and had to sell my escape first.  So now here I am getting ready to ask a bunch of questions that I can't figure out in the manual LOL.

  3. So I had these on my escape and they did keep down some of the spray.  Because of how the ST has the bottom trim would these work on our cars.  Has anyone put them on and if so do you have a picture?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Well guys after being on this forum since about August of 2018, asking questions, going through the ups and downs of the Edge and all its issues, sending some of you private messages and than going back and forth on waiting or  do I want a 2020 Explorer ST (which I still kinda of do :) )  I pulled the trigger on a ST this weekend.  I sold my escape http://www.flairphoto2.com/escape.htm  on thursday night and this Saturday after dealing with 6 different dealers and all that goes with getting a new car I got one.  I didn't want the 21 inch rims and still not sure how I feel about them but like the wife said I can maybe trade with someone that has the 20 inch or get something else from tire rack or the like.   So the deal that I finally landed on was.  401a package, cold weather, 21 inch rims, the cargo mat and retractable cover thrown in for 39,473.00.  Tax, destination, and 299.00 processing fee on top of that.  Escape was paid for and got $ 14,700 and put another 10K down so payment for 48 months is very affordable.  Car had 6 miles on it and was built April 2019, according to the dealer no TSB is showing up and head light issue doesn't show up on my Ford Pass so guess that is good need to go out and see what they are suppose to do to see if they do work.

Purchased from a dealer called Koons Ford in Maryland.  They offer lifetime warranty on powertrain.  Ford of course gives you 3/36 than 5/60 or 6/60 but what they do is give you lifetime on the powertrain.   They are not the only dealer doing it now I found out but a nice perk.  He said allot of people coming in talking about Kia and Hyundai having 10/100,000  warranty so they decided to offer this lifetime deal.  No catch you don't have to go to them for service but if you sell the car it doesn't go to the next person.   He went on to say that most people will sell a car in 6 years or less so they are banking on it never needing a repair or replacement but if it happens they claim they will cover it.

Tomorrow getting the front 2 windows tinted to start the process out making it mine LOL.   Ordered last night the JLT Catch Can,  K&N air filter (just because I like them and I heard they are worth 100hp :) )  and next up would like to try the Pedal commander or Sprint Box (the company that created the original design) and after that the borla exhaust if I could ever hear one to make a decision.  Than once I have some miles on it go with a tune but after I make sure I don't have any gremlins in the car.  This is my hot rod so don't have any plans on turbo upgrades, intercooler, etc. just want a fun family vehicle and can't afford a Trackhawk.

First impressions:  Well compared to my escape it is bigger and rides better.   Seems to have good power but have not been in the boost until I get the catch can on and some miles on it.  Stereo is very impressive,  parking brake button :( not sure I care for that I am old school and like to grab a handle.  Wishing the tach and  boost gauge was bigger I am sure that will come on the next model or the refresh version.  Heads up display with MPH would have been cool along with folding mirrors either when you park or give you a button to push.  Puddle lights would have been cool to display ST on the ground,  Ford performance on the door sill would been nice to light up but I guess no matter what they would have done could always find something you wish was better.   On the lane assist and safety crap I guess is fine don't even know how to use it until I read the manual but figure I been driving for many years and did okay on my own but with people texting and putting on makeup I know why they are pushing for cars to drive themselves...LOL

But the important part is now I am part of this ST family and not just a troll asking questions and posting to others threads. Ha Ha

I will post up what ever mods I end up doing to it which will mainly be what I posted above but who knows.  Will post a picture tomorrow after it leaves the tint shop.

  5. Went  to my local Ford Dealer today and they told me two interesting things.  Sadly being my local dealer I don't have 100 percent faith in what they tell me but that is why I turn to this forum for the real answers.  :)

So they said the Order Bank for the 2020 Edge will be October.  ( not sure why they call it a order bank... but anyhow)  my real question to them was what is changing for 2020.  The sales guy had no idea so he got a manager and according to him what he has been told is the dash will be a redesign for 2020.   Much like the escape/explorer.  He couldn't tell me anything else about engine, power, paint, etc.  but he said the Edge has gotten beat up for the dated dash and Ford is going to do work on it.  I have seen nothing on the internet about that and like I said above I am not sure of anything they tell me is 100%.   So just running it up the flag pole here to see if you all have heard of anything?

I finally put my escape for sale and now rethinking if I should wait and see or at least hear about the 2020.  It seems like Ford is getting the bugs worked out of the 19 but at times when I am on here and read some issues people are having it makes me a little gun shy and also reminds me what I have always been told don't buy the first year of something new.  On a plus side of the ST here in Virginia a few dealers have them with 401a package, cold weather, 20 inch rims, for 38-39K which is a great price i think compared to the prices when they first came out.

Here is my escape that I am selling so think it will go fast but thinking maybe should pull down the ad till I know about the 2020.  Let me know if you guys have any info.

  6. Great feed back guys thank you.  I am putting my Escape for sale tomorrow once I get some pictures of the inside than once it sells I am off to track down a ST.  A ford Dealer has one right now that is a killer deal.  Blue/21 inch wheels, 401A, Cold weather package, glass roof (whatever it is called)  for 39,400.00  it has 11 miles on it and the build date was April 4th if he told me right.  Problem will be when my escape sells I will call him and that one will be gone and I need to sell my escape since it is paid for to use that money for a down payment.  But I am sure I will find another deal out there.  Was thinking about getting a 2020 using the logic that maybe some of these minor issues would be fixed in that model year light the adaptive head light issue but not sure I want to wait that long.

  7. My friend at work thinks he is going to do it for his ST Focus so will see what he thinks about it.  He called the company and they told him a 30 day warranty if he wasn't happy so I think at some point he is going to pull the trigger.  I told him not to expect allot..LOL

  8. Yea I was thinking how could this be that easy,  for my mustang I put a bigger blower on it, long tubes, bigger TB, there is no way that car could be tuned with a device like this.  But thinking a stock vehicle maybe it would be okay just not sure how they would get the HP and extra mileage out of that device.  Would be nice if it worked especially if the dealer couldn't tell anything was done to the vehicle but I figured it was to good to be true.

  9. A friend of mine sent this to me yesterday because he was thinking about ordering one for his Focus ST.  I went to their website, read the reviews and it just sounds to good to be true.  And you know what they say when something is to good to be true. LOL

Just wondering if anyone has tried them or knows anything about this company.

  10. I called Borla and ask for a sound clip since they put this on an Edge ST already and the guy on the phone said they didn't record it ???  that makes no sense why they won't make a quick video of  it but I guess we will have to wait for someone that buys it to post up on youtube.

  11. I don't know who they were they had sport coats and they were all about coming up to you when you were looking at their cars, asking you questions about why you like it and if you were interested in it but knew no spec's.  They did have the new GT500 there which being on the Shelby Forums I have seen those pictures and youtube video's but it was nice to see it in person.  I ask them a few questions about that car also but once again got the deer in the head lights look. :) I should have asked them if they heard the Ford Pinto was coming back to see if they would have said "Yes we heard that"  LOL

  12. So today finally made it to the DC autoshow.  A ton of nice vehicles and if money is no object man there is some extremely nice cars and suv's out there.  But on to the important part, went to the Ford booth twice once in the morning and once in the afternoon to talk to reps which I did and neither one of them knew there ass from a hole in the ground :( Was looking at the Edge ST and both times 2 different guys came over and I started telling them about the forums and youtube videos about the transmission issues and both of them acted like they never heard anything like that before.  I asked them both do you ever go out on the forums or have heard of YOUTUBE?  They claim they don't get into the details about any of the Fords they just know general info... I should have figured it as much but was worth a try.  Ask about the 2020 Edge ST and all they knew is late summer some info will be out about it but could tell me nothing else.  Than we talked about the Explorer ST first question I ask was 0-60 and 1/4 times... they knew nothing.  Next MPG of the explorer...they knew nothing.  I should have stayed home and not wasted a vacation day..LOL
