  1. It would be awesome to get it somehow hooked up to the Synch system, but it isn't neccesary. I was thinking more or less just beeps that get progressively faster as you get closer or something like that.
  2. I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, but I recently bought a nicely used 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. I'm really liking the backup sensors and camera but unfortunately this used one didn't come with the front sensors. I was curious if anyone was successful in adding front sensors after the fact? I don't need a front camera, just the sensors to beep at me when I'm getting close to something. Anyone have any luck installing front sensors?
  3. I have a 5 hour drive coming up this next weekend. I'll do an experiment. I'll reset the counter, drive down there and see what the results are. Then I'll disconnect the battery and reset the counter before I come back and see if it helped. Thanks and will post the results!
  4. New plugs? Not sure what those are. The Edge does have 38k miles on it right now. I've only had it a week and a half so far.
  5. Resurrecting an older thread here, but I wanted something similar. I have a 2017 Titanium Edge and I found that this usb car plug (below) worked perfectly and only costs $10 with no modification to the car. https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Output-iPhone-Samsung/dp/B00M6QODH2 It fits into the front passenger and center compartment flush and the stock cover will close with the caveat that the door flap does catch on the edge of the USB plug. I remedied this but taking a knife and shaving a flat edge on the USB plug that faced the door hinge. Once I trimmed that up, it fits flush and the usb door closes perfectly. It's worth noting that the second row charging cover is a little bit bigger than the front passenger and center console so no trimming was necessary and the flap closes perfectly without any modification. I like this because it looks like the usb chargers are oem, the doors close all the way, and if I need to use something else in the adapter I can still remove the usb plug and plug something else in instead. It's worth noting this one above will charge up to 2.4 amps for each port, which is faster than the 2.0 amp smart plugs that come with the car but are slower than the power IQ and Quick Charge 3.0 standards. If you want a quick charge 3.0 capable port though to charge at 3 amps, Aukey also makes this guy (below). It has the same dimensional size as the one above that I have except that it's a single port 3.0 Quick charger. So you should be able to plug it in and still close the doors. https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Charge-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B01KZHKF4I I also purchased a few LED usb plugs, because I liked the blue glow at night, that were supposed to be flush mount by Torras and Ainope and neither one of them actually fits flush. They're about 1/10th of an inch larger than the ones above and they both stick out so you can't close the doors (even the larger second row plug won't close). Anyway, if someone wants a stock look without taking the car apart, the above should help.
  6. You guys are all lucky. So far I'm really disappointed with my Edge's fuel economy. I bought a used 2017 Titanium FWD 2.0 eco engine purely for that purpose. The sticker says 21 city/29 highway/24 combined. My driving is about half city and half highway and the average over my first two tanks is 20.5 mpg. Quite disappointing. I was really hoping I'd get closer to the 24 that they claimed. FWIW, I use Costco 87 octane fuel.
  7. Hey fellow Edge owners. I have a question/poll for all of you that replaced the stock 8" subwoofer. I've read over quite a few threads on here the last few days and it seems like people really like the Kicker shallow mount subs. I'm not looking for earth shaking bass that wakes the neighbors, vibrates my license plate, or has the car next to me wondering where it's coming from. I'm just looking for something that sounds better than the stock sub when I'm in the vehicle. Basically, a little louder, a little cleaner, and a little deeper. I may eventually replace/add an amp at some point in the future for it, but for now I don't have the extra funds for an amp and I'd rather not go through the trouble of running wires for a new amp so I'm planning on using the factory HU/amp (for now). So with that said, assuming I'm using the factory HU/amp, would you guys install the 8" or 10" Kicker shallow mount sub? I realize that if I decide to go larger and get the 10" I'll have to modify the existing Sony sub-box and make a wood ring adapter to mount a 10" sub like fit1446 did: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19412-yes-you-can-put-a-10-sub-in-your-factory-enclosureheres-how-its-done/ This is not a problem, I have a friend who has a CNC machine and he can make a wood ring very easily. My inclination is to go for the 10" because it will have a deeper sound to it. I'm just not sure what it will sound like when run off the factory HU/amp and would it even be able to hit the lower power requirements of the 10" sub? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  8. I know this is an old thread but I'm curious if you still like the 10" sub and did you have to add an amp?
