  1. Part is 9C047 in the callout in this diagram.
  2. Wouldn't down south be one season, warm lol.
  3. The part number for the hose assembly with fuel tank pressure sensor is AT4Z9C047A. Labour was 2.2 hrs for repair. Fuel tank was lowered to perform repair. I was able to clear the codes and it would stay away for about 5-800 kms and then come back on. I could not identify originally where the sensor was actually located. I checked the fuel pump assembly schematics and could not see it nor in the top of the tank were they normally are located. I used a boroscope to look around up there but could not identify it. Eventually realized it was an actual hose assembly, not an in tank sensor. Location meant lowering the fuel tank so I had the dealer do it. My truck has 180,000 on it so the ESP Premium warranty was up at 150,000 kms I cleaned out the evap can vent line first, it did have a spider living in it so I at first thought voila, but no luck. Code came back. Codes were P0451 and P1450 that the vehicle presented with. No drivability symptoms were noted.
  4. I'd suggest snow specific tires as the improvement is dramatic. I run BFG winter slaloms. All seasons are really only 3 season.
  5. I had the same issue, turned out to be an assembly hose at the fuel tank. The sensor is built into it. Had dealer replace it once I figured it out as the tank had to be dropped down.
  6. Something I ran into when changing the accessory belt was the new belt that was slightly to big. It was a Goodyear Gatorback belt. What happened was within a few hundred miles of putting on a new Goodyear Gatorback the tensioner started to chatter as the stop was lightly tapping due to the belt being too big once the belt settled in. When I first heard that rapping sound I thought something internal had failed in the engine. I grabbed a second Gatorback and it too was the same size so it would not work either. Contacted Goodyear to double check the belt part number and they said it was correct, problem must be the vehicle...basically they were a bit less than useless. Bought a new Motorcraft belt and installed it and it fit perfect with lots of room to the tensioner stop. If you replace your belt and shortly after notice a distinct loud rapping sound from the pass side, look to see if the tensioner is hitting the stop.
  7. Our 2010 Edge Limited with 170,000 kms has a CEL and codes P0451 and P1450 stored. I have checked the system visually and verified the vent hose is good. I do not know where the pressure switch is located. I took a scope and looked around the top of the tank but only saw sender and fill hose assembly. No apparent running issues other than the CEL. Any ideas?.
  8. I'm almost afraid to say that we now have just over 66,000km on our 2010 Limited AWD and it has not been to the shop for a single issue. it has been a fantastic vehicle. i've towed our camping trailer all summer and our 2 place snowmobile trailer all winter so it has been worked. i of course bought a 150,000 5 year premium plus warranty with 0 deductable. can't say I'm sad I have not used it.
  9. With our 2010 Limited AWD with 20" tires we average with 40,000kms on it combined city and hwy over 5000kms about 21 US and 25 imperial MPG. Towing our snowmobiles in a 2 place enclosed side by side trailer it drops mileage to 17-18 US or 21 IMP. This trailer is 101 inches wide and slightly taller than the edge so it is like a parachute. On a long highway run it sips fuel at 25 US and 30 Imperial cruising at 115-120 km/ph. Summer is higher than winter. Our 07 was quite a bit tougher on fuel.
  10. I haul a two place aluminum 08 Sno Pro clamshell with my edge and it works great. No shortage of power. Tows better than my old Explorer Ltd did. The AWD has not let me down and we've ran some pretty nasty weather with it.
  11. I'm a snowmobiler and I tow my enclosed two place snowmobile trailer with two sleds onboard through some downright nasty weather on snow covered, drifted roads. The trailer is aluminum and loaded is about 2200 lbs. Trailer axle follows the Edge wheel tracks. The Edge performs very well. Lots of power, great handling and I drop the OD at low speeds. It will downshift and use more engine braking with it off. I also drop the shifter down to low and the engine braking works perfect. It is computer controlled so as some fear it does not slam into low. Really takes the load off the brakes. We trailer thousands of miles and this truck is better than my Explorer LTD was for pulling the sleds. Only down side is the lack of low range when you get buried parking. I just take off the traction control, OD and drop in low and she has always got out all but once. My wife stuck it into a 5 ft drift on the road beside us and the truck got too much snow underneath and lost traction. The tires were hanging down but unable to bite. It took a shovel to get some snow out from under the chassis and a few strong backs to push it out. I don't fell bad as 30 seconds after we pushed her out a 3/4 ton chev 4x4 buried in 100 ft away coming the other way. Ice is ice. Just drive with care!
  12. Update on the ABS problems. Vehicle was still having problems intermittently and of course - no fault found when taken in. At Christmas I was coming up to a stop with the family in the car and the pedal went to the floor on perfectly dry, clear pavement This was the last straw. The vehicle put my family and I at risk for the last time. If it would of come back again no fault found I was going to leave it there and let my lawyer deal with it. Turns out an ABS sensor was bad and was detecting lock up and causing the loss of braking. Finally after 30,000 they fixed it or so I hope. Since the last repair the brakes have been ok but I'm still leary when slowing down and I know where the e-brake is for sure!
  13. Ours was doing the same thing but it happened all winter. So far this summer since I pulled the battery cable and let it sit. It seems to be fine . I'd be driving along at a constant speed and after 10 or so miles I'd notice the RPM's are high. It stays at that state, flat freeway, cruise on or off often for quite a while. Then all of a sudden it flares and then the RPM's drop. The dealer of course could not see a code so it must not be so. I was thinking that it may be something with the lock up converter. Went from consistently to never since the reset. I also had a jump in mileage.
  14. Seems something is very wrong with your mileage. When I was looking at the Edge I sent Ford an e-mail about the mileage and they would not deviate from the sticker. They said the ratings are based on specific gov tests. For real world they suggested I contact the dealer and see what they knew. Ford said they did not track customer feedback on mileage. Ours has been getting better and better as we put kms on it. It is a bit less than the window sticker but not bad given the vehicle size.
  15. The Mileage with our 2007 SEL Plus AWD has been getting constantly better. At first it was pretty tough. Now sitting with 12,000 miles and one year under her belt things are looking up. My mileage over the last 4 tanks has been approx 21.5 US MPG (10.4-10.8l/100km) across highway, city and country driving with the AC on all the way.
