  1. Does anyone know what fuse to pull on a 2019 to reset the Sync? I upgraded to the 3.4 version on my 4.2" and it has a weird glitch where sometimes I start the car and it is stuck on the radio screen. The volume controls don't work. I can press anything else (as if the radio was on). I have to turn the radio on and then off to get to the clock screen.

Also after turning off the radio, the screen will go to the clock and glitch the radio screen briefly. As in glitch, I mean it will flash the radio screen a split second after the clock screen comes on.

I've tried a master reset, pulling fuse 32, and a hard reboot (power and seek up) with no change. I think I pulled the wrong fuse. The radio presets stay there, which indicates that it hasn't been truly reset. After a hard reboot, the radio works fine until the car is turned off and it goes right back to being "glitchy".

I have the same jerking problem and lagging response at low speeds in the morning. But I did a test and turned off adaptive cruise control to normal in the menu and the problem stopped completely !!! Now I know that it is not the fault of the gearbox or the engine, but the electronics that drives the car for us,   Please try the same to see if it improves

I don't even have adaptive cruise.

  3. I've noticed that sometimes I'll make a normal turn left or right from a stop sign for example.... The traction control light sometimes flashes?

Also if I give it a little more gas on a turn, the steering wheel will vibrate as if awd is kicking in mixed with the vibration from lane departure warning (disabled). It's really weird and my dealer has no idea what it is.

I'm meticulous with my vehicles so it's not tire pressure, fluids look good, and it's been doing this since it came off the dealer lot.

When sitting at a red light with a light brake pedal and a/c on, my car lightly jerks/bounces.  With the a/c off, it smooths out considerably.  Coasting At 15 mpg it is not smooth either way. Ford needs to address this!

Mine does the same whenever the AC is on. Once the engine is warmed up, it's fine.

  5. Another update. Was tooling around a little. Some modified Infiniti G35 (lowered, exhaust, intake, and wheels from what I can see) challenged me and I kept right on his bumper all the way up to 80 from a dig. Granted he was crawling away, but I'm definitely VERY pleased with the performance of my Edge. He gave me a surprised thumbs up when we parted ways.

  6. So I got some performance numbers for 0-60 since it cooled down here in NY.

Got my Ultragauge EM 1.4 speed zeroed in with my OEM speedometer/GPS. It's dead even at 60mph. Ran 3 runs 0-60. All of them with traction control off and a 3k RPM launch. I got a 6.57, 6.6, and a 6.49. Pretty decent for a LMS tune, as I was getting 7.2 stock. When the transmission shifts, it does take a split second so it might have thrown my numbers off. I plan to try again sometime later with traction control on and no launch. It felt quicker to me the other day with no launch, so worth trying. I have noticed that leaving it out of sport mode does allow for more shifts, which keeps it in the 3k RPM range which is where most of the torque is. To me, sport mode is good for mountain runs but not a dash as it holds RPMs too high out of the torque peak.

    Temp outside - 61 deg F

    Oil temp - 179 deg F

    Altitude 700 ft

    Intake temp - 75 deg F

Road a slight incline (VERY slight)

    Full tank of 93 Sunoco

Baby seats and stroller in the back

Magnaflow custom catback, Pro Dry S filter, and LMS tune are the only mods.

Highest PSI I've seen so far is a spike to 21PSI.

I'm pleased with the results, as I got a 6.2 best on the same spot with my tuned Focus ST (and lots of wheel spin). All in all, the LMS does make the porky Edge move quickly (not OMG fast mind you). Don't get me wrong... a stock Focus ST with decent tires and a competent driver will still give my Edge a run for its money, but it's nice to know that my Daddy-Mobile has spunk.

I do plan on getting a Green Filter to replace the Pro Dry S for a little more airflow, as I ran it in my Focus ST and was pleased with it. I don't re-oil and just replace filters every 2 years (30k miles).

You can run up to about E18 on ecoboost engines without the need for a tune.  After that, tune for best benefit - cooling, detonation resistance, and timing advance.

I get that. I know about E30 tunes as well.

I'm just wondering power wise... 93 10% or 93 0%. Which is better (already tuned)? Edit: NVM I overlooked the answer above.

Of course.  What matters is the octane.

I know that for the most part, but I always wonder if it's worth it. I didn't do this on the old Focus ST because at the time there was only 91 ethanol free available. Now there's 93 ethanol free at some local Fastrac stations. I was always under the assumption that tunes benefited from some ethanol.

Lmao, you know me. I can't leave anything stock.

I just wanted something a bit more comfy for DD, save the focus for times when I want to go fast.

The Edge is getting all the attention right now, the Focus is getting jealous for sure. All I have left on the focus is the biggest mods, I like the easy victories with the Edge. Lol!

For sure. You got lucky in getting a 2.7 whereas I'm sticking with the 2.0. Twin babies take the funds away!

    At least I'm tuned. ;)

  10. I'd really like to add my own ambient lighting strips under the dash on my 2019. I don't want to spend a fortune on the Ford ambient light kit where I can do it for much cheaper.

The question I have is how can I wire the lights to come on whenever my headlights are on? EG: I use the auto setting for my headlights, so whenever the headlights come on full brightness, the LED strips light up.

So taking a page out of Xtra's book on this thread - http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22798-g2-edge-sport-cold-air-intake-hack/?hl=snorkel

I decided to check this out and see what the hype is all about.

So I took a look at what the current view is for fresh air to go into the air box -

    f298TDm.jpg

So the first thing you notice is the hood latch mechanism in the way.... nice Ford.

    eqPXUQ5.jpg

So I tried moving it completely out of the way but couldn't get a good spot, but low and behold there is a lip that sinks down between the inlet and the latch mechanism. So two holes later and it was moved out of the way -

    Gttb5w9.jpg

Now that it was out of the way lets see how it looks -

    DJl8Sfz.jpg

MUCH better, now that the piece is out of the way, so is the cord (right hand side).

But there still is an improvement for the one piece hanging down right in the middle.

Take that out and PRESTO -

    Z8CmBGW.jpg

Now air can get into the car with no obstacles.

Now the real question... so what are the gains?

Well, nothing great overall... nothing you will most likely notice seat of the pants, maybe a bit less laggy but I did notice a smidge more timing up top. I notice that the intake temp in the box was down 4* F overall based on 5 average runs previously and just one run with the improved flow.

Is it worth it? Well it is a free mod and does remove anything in the way of the intake, so I say it is worth it.

What piece was that in the middle and how did you remove it?

  12. I have an OBD gauge coming in, so I can monitor boost levels and other stuff. I want to include charge air temps in the readout. However, there are multiple choices to pick from. Which one would give me the most accurate charge temp of air coming directly in from the intercooler? On my Focus ST accessport, I could just pick "Charge Air Temp" and be done with it, but this one seems more complicated?

    The choices I have are;

Charge Air Temp cylinder group 1, sensor 1

Charge Air Temp cylinder group 1, sensor 2

Charge Air Temp cylinder group 2, sensor 1

Charge Air Temp cylinder group 2, sensor 2

The guage is a Lufi XF Revolution.
