My bumper on my 2014 Edge was badly chipped and scratched so I took it off and had it repainted. Whiling it was at the paint shop I sanded and painted the chrome parts to match the black on the vehicle and as I had some PIAA driving lights looking for a home I found a great spot to place them. Using a hole saw I cut two holes in the low grill as seen. I mounted a piece of aluminum angle by glueing it to back side with epoxy designed for plastics. Using a relay, I taped off the high beams so they come on with them but I may retire the to be on all the time as they complement the switch back running lights nicely. I have the 12” Phoenix radio which allows for a front camera so I purchased a license plate camera to add on . This works great for parking haven’t a clear view now allowing me to pull up tight in parking lots. i also put a bug deflector across the hood that hides all the chips up there. I have a new Ford oval coming with a black background to complete the look. The head lights are upgraded to 6500 K HIDs and all others are LED. I just got my LED bulbs to put into the PIAAs so they will match the color of every thing else. i was very impressed with the results, since the windows are tinted dark it makes the SUV look like something like the FBI might use, LOL. .

I am changing to LED turn signals and would like to change the relay to an electronic relay instead of load resistors. I can seem to find one for my 2014 Edge SEL. Anyone know where I can get one? on the same note, where is the exact location of the signal relay? Thanks for any help

Every vehicular I have owned has terrible headlights except my BMW which has HID’S, it is amazing how manufacturers still sell old technology especially in light of how better lighting is so inexpensive now. I have up graded all my vehicles to after market HID including my 2014ford edge.and they are 10 times better. I can’t remember which manufacturer I bought from but I discover that the.bulbs could be installed in the wrong position. I finally took the bumper cover off and removed the head lights out to ensure I got it right.

I have a 2014 sync 2. My daytime leds turn off with my headlights.

Have you ever forgotten to use your turn signal, accidentally gone faster than the speed limit, ran a a stop sign, hit another car, played your radio too loud, had a burned out head light, received a parking ticket, used a cell phone while driving, forgotten to buckle your seat belt, driven with a cracked windshield, eat or drink while driving?0

Yes, understood but I want get the brightness available. While on the subject has any install driving lights on the edge? I have some great 4’ PIAS Looking for a home. I ha the front end off an it looks I could use a hole saw and mount them down in the black plastic grill way down low. Thanks Merritt

Where is this located, I see what I believe to be the detector on my dash near the front, middle. I want to keep my headlights on at all times without using the switch so I thought I could cover the sensor to achieve this. Thanks, Merritt

Does any one know which are the brightest fog lights to fit the stock location on my 2014 Edge, I would like to get them with switchbacks if possible. The stock ones are pitiful and look awful through the day compared to my HID's. Thanks, Merritt

I got up on the seat with the sun roof full open with lots of light and was able to see where the lower edge snaps in to the bottom extrusion. It will likely be troublesome in the future

I bought my 2014 used a few weeks ago and just noticed that both of these gasket/seals are disconnected. Can some one explain how these are supposed to be reinstalled? It appears one side mounts to the glass and the other side goes to a stationary track on the roof. Any help is appreciated.

Is separate software required (such as FORScan) or do any come with built in software to allow me change coding?

I have read and observed that increasing octane does no good unless the vehicle is tuned for it. Is this not true for the Edge, or are you referring to a modified vehicle?

Lol, I was joking. I never watch the screen but my wife likes to on long drives. I know it is illegal but so is speeding, not using turn signals etc...The driver is responsible to observe the rules of the road. Take care, Merritt

Good morning all, Which FORScan model would I buy on amazon to be able to change such things as turn signal blink and power outlet shut down time? There are so many and so widely priced I am confused. I don't mind spending a little more to get a good one. Thanks for any help, Merritt

I appreciate your opinion but not what I asked. I found a solution but the video quality is terrible so I am upgrading to a phenox head unit with the 12" Tesla screen.

I understand it is illegal to watch while driving but my passenger may want to. I can lock pick it so it works while moving, do just hook up a dvd and input through the av jacks then?\

I found a 12 volt dvd player with rca outs. Can I use this to play a dvd on the factory touch screen?

Wow, that sucks. Do they offer a dvd up grade? I also seen 12" Tesla which plays dvd, this replaces the stock system. Any idea how good that system is?
