I got a 19 and after realizing this, I grabbed a bin and replaced the access panel, no issues. Not sure if you really want to do it though, the bin is kind of useless IMO. Haven't found a good use for it. Coins just get trapped in the front corner, not sure what else to stuff in there.

Probably a retaining feature. Put up a picture in the future
