  1. Fisrt I have to say that when I opened the box I was expecting a better looking unit. But enough about that. It took me 2 1/2 hours to install the unit. The biggest problem was putting that rubber edging around the unit. It would not stay on, I eventually had to use some spray adhesive and pieces of velcro. The next problem is installing the new screws for the MAP sensor. I am glad that I have small fingers to fit inside the tube to hold the screws. And they are an unknow button head screw which I tried about 30 or 40 of the sizes I had but none fit. The next pain was that they fail to tell you that you need to move the positive battery cable out of the way so you can bolt the unit to the battery tray. Once it was all bolted in and I bent the metal shroud to get it to fit, I went to close the hood and the unit is so tight I had to push down with some effort to close the hood. I wanna say that I am pretty mechanically inclined so you guys can make your own decisions on the unit. I will post photos of it tomorrow. Next project: HID kit which looks very simple and the Gibson exhaust.
  2. If I buy the 8000 low beam kit can I just buy the bulbs for the fogs or do they need their own ballasts? Rob
  3. Yes I will deff. post photos. I did not p[urchase the tuner. When I do the install and if there is not that much difference I will purchase the tuner.
  4. What type of high heat did you use. I am going to be painting my Gibson exhaust and am debating on automotive high heat or something that is used for wood stoves.
  5. Has anyone installed the new Steeda cold air intake on their Edge. I orderd it the other day. It does not appear to be difficult to install, just wondering if anyone has had any problems with it./
  6. License plate frame is off and the plugs fit perfectly. Not bad for three bucks.
  7. Thanks for the advice. I plan on prepping them well by thoroughly cleaning them. I will post when they are done.
  8. I am planning on buying the Gibson exhaust (aluminized) because it is cheaper. I know it will end up rusting. Does anyone know if the cat back system can be painted with a high heat paint without any problems. I would plan on painting it black so it blends to the rest of my Edge. Thanks....
  9. Yes, I know there are two holes in the bumper. I went to the automotive store and picked up some of those plugs. They came i gloss black so they will match the black front bumper. I found also online that you can use "goof plugs" they sell them in elecrical supply houses and irrigation suppy. Thanks
  10. Yes that helps....I was just gonna rip it off..not. I appreciate the response...
  11. I want to remove the black plastic front license plate holder. Is there an easy way to remove it? I opened the hood and removed the six scrws that hold the cover that is attached to the grille but could not get my hand in there. Plus it looks like there are some type of clips that hold the bottom of the grille. Any help would be appreciated.
