  1. Hi folks, Picked up some winter rims/tires for a good price and they are off a 2019 Edge. They have TPMS sensors on them and I am going to do a dry run with them sometime soon to get them setup and ensure they work. My previous Mazdas were simply install and they worked. I have a few questions. 1) Will the 2019 sensors work with my '24? I am seeing two frequencies when search ford part numbers online. It's not clear to me if the '19's will work with my system. 2) Is there an official process to get these new sensors working with my system or is it an install and drive situation? Ideally, i don't want to buy any tools but I supposed I will have to if need be. I am seeing info. on here that the Ford TPMS is different and that I may need to do a "relearn" procedure and that it can be done via start button pushes, etc... found a Youtube I would appreciate any advice! Thanks,
  2. I started it remotely two days in a row and no noise. I will monitor.
  3. Hi folks, Heard a noise on the weekend when doing a remote start on my '24 ST...didn't think anything of it, thought I was hearing things, turns out I was! Then this morning, I see a post on a Facebook group of someone else's doing the same thing. The video in this post is the noise, https://www.facebook.com/reel/437474385816105?fs=e&s=TIeQ9V&mibextid=3pERcX Anyone else hear this and know if it's typical behaviour?

  5. As expected with these sort of things, it didn't do it a single time on the drive home. However, I had the HVAC system off, so perhaps that adds some strength to the idea of electric loading being the cause. They did replace the battery in my Edge before I took delivery 🤔 I will continue to monitor and see what I observe! Side note, had to pull away quickly from a stop sign and I am still so impressed with the torque of this engine. It's a gem!
  6. Thank you guys for replying so quickly. I don't believe they turn back on by themselves when they do this behaviour, so they are staying off until I turn them off and then back on through the HVAC control. I will verify that today. Great Dad Joke, @garycrist
  7. Hi Everyone, I am noticing an anomaly with my 2024 Edge ST's cooled seat functionality and how the vehicle's Auto Start/Stop system is impacting it. Often, when the start/stop system turns the engine off in traffic, the cooled seat fan also stops working (but the indicator still says it's "on" in the HVAC screen). If I toggle the cooled seats off, then turn back on, it starts again but it seems like the start/stop system is triggering the cooled seat fan to turn off for some reason. Since the HVAC screen is still showing it's on, and it's an intermittent issue, I am thinking this is not usual operating procedure. I've done some searches on the site here and don't see any threads discussing this issue. Anyone experience something similar?
  8. Yes, you want to maintain the overall size of the rim+ tire setup to keep from messing up the speedo. There are sites that can take the details of your OEM setup, and you can input your proposed rim and tire sizes and it will tell you if you will have speedo issues. It's a great tool. I used it when spec'ing my winter tire setup on my previous CX5 and Mazda6s. https://www.calculator.net/tire-size-calculator.html
  9. It comes in lower trims with 18 inch rims and your trim level doesn't have any major differences when it comes to hardware around the wheels (brakes). Since it comes OEM with 18 inch rims, just use any tire site to see what that size is. You should be good!
  10. @MtlEdge Did you have any luck with this project? Looking to replace the media bin with one that has the cover on it. Any pointers you have would be greatly appreciated. Tks
  11. Hello, I see some folks have installed the below part so the wireless charger area has a cover as it used to on earlier models. Has anyone done this? Curious what the process is for getting access to install the part. Part Number seems to be KT4B-R044C-16-C
  12. New horn arrived, and has been installed. Fits like OEM! Here are a few pointers. I purchased these horns from Amazon, https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07BG848B5?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Connection is the same as OEM, Getting the headlight out is easy. 2 screws and one pop fastener. Instructions provided previously by others helped. There is a plastic piece under the headlight that snaps into a plastic piece on the car, if you wiggle the headlight enough it pops out. Once the headlight is out, you can see the horn down below, remove it and the bracket as one unit by removing the screw from the metal bracket. The electric connector for the stock horn is snapped in by a clip (I stuck a little screw driver up and released the clip as I pulled the horn). Watch out when you are removing the bolt from the horn bracket as the two pieces (bolt and metal retainer) will fall down onto the plastic cover on the bottom of the engine, so make sure you have a good drip on them! If they do fall down, it's not too much trouble to get them. Once horn and bracket are out of the car, I installed the two new horns on the old bracket from the car and reinstalled. As others mentioned, leave the top horn off until you get the bracket snugged on tight as it will be in the way otherwise. Sounds like a real car now! IMG_9756.mov
  13. Totally. Thought I was saving 7 bucks! New order arrives Friday so hopefully this order is the right one. On a positive note, removing the headlight was quite easy, so this is a very easy mod! I say this every time, but I PROMISE I will take pictures next time, especially of the little bracket thing that's under the headlight that holds it in. I presume others will find it helpful.
  14. So it arrived and it appears someone put their old, used horn in the box and it somehow made it's way to me 😕 I will have to order another.
  15. You folks think Lincoln will add another, more powerful engine option to the Nautilus?
  16. Taking a chance and ordered the FIAMM 7201622. I will let you guys know if it's plug and play. Connector looks to match the OEM. Looking through the Amazon comments, it see it fits Explorers and other Ford models, so here's hoping!
  17. Thanks for sharing your experience. It's nice to hear from other folks on the same issue! There are some anomalies in the hood for sure. The edge along the grill is not straight, slightly warped/wavy, so I am guessing it's a deformed hood. I would almost rather take the hood as is than have another painted and used to replace the one on the vehicle now. Drive home today had some minor fluttering but only when oncoming trucks zoomed by on the hwy. I will mention it when I am in for my first service to see if they think it meets spec.
  18. Seeing the shape of the connector is helpful for figuring out if the "universal" plug will fit. Thanks!
  19. Anyone install this? Says it fits Fords and is universal fit (always nervous of that statement) and the connector seems to be right but I haven't seen anything from anyone saying it fits 2019+ Edges. https://www.amazon.ca/FIAMM-7201622-Dual-Assembly-Chrysler/dp/B07BG848B5/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
  20. Had to make some adjustments as I was experiencing some pretty obvious hood flutter after tinkering with the rubber bumper. Hopefully I found the happy medium of hood alignment vs hood flutter.
  21. Good advice. I noticed some flutter on my road trip earlier in the week so we will see if this takes care of that issue as well. I measured the gap and are right in spec, which is very helpful to know. I had someone use the piece of wood trick on a VW GTi I had years ago. Passenger door wouldn't seal properly along the top...unfortunately, that was only the beginning of the issues with that car.
  22. Adjusting the rubber bumpers actually made a big difference. Issue mostly resolved. Thanks again.
  23. Thanks to you both. I will take a look and see what the rubber bumpers are looking like but that would only take care of the vertical issue, the hood is still out a fair bit from the grill piece below it. @Haz I was hoping someone would provide a tolerance spec..Thanks! Also, @Haz I don't see the pdf attachment?
  24. Hi Everyone, New member and excited to be trying out a Ford (I've had Mazdas for years). Unfortunately, finding some little quality issues. Latest one is the hood seems to stick out around 1/4 inch farther on the drivers side than the passenger. Passenger side is nice and flush, the driver's side doesn't line up and sticks out. The hood seems to line up everywhere else fine. Please see attached pics. Anyone have this on their rigs? I've mentioned it to the dealer, waiting on a reply.
