I don't think that's a fair comparison. The Canadian Edge models have far more standard features than the US models. The following features are standard on a Canadian Edge SE and not included/available on US Edge SE:
•Heated seats
•Automatic headlights
•Door keypad
•6 cd changer
•Satelite radio
•Body color, painted door handles
•Dual chromed rolled exhaust tips
•Power Mirrors – body color exterior manual fold
•Rear spoiler – painted body color
•Fog lamps w/ chromed bezel
•Automatic headlamps
•Auto-dimming rearview mirror
•Leather wrapped steering wheel
•Message Center/Compass
•Overhead console w/ sunglass holder and storage
•Unique interior treatments: chromed cluster rings, chromed registers, chromed shifter
•Unique aluminum instrument panel center stack finish
The following features are standard on a Canadian Edge SEL and optional equipment on a US Edge SEL:
•Leather seats
•6 way power passenger seat
•Passenger fold flat seat
•Second row seat easy fold
•Heated mirrors
•Memory seats/mirrors
•Dual climate control
•Air filter
•Puddle lamps
•Steering wheel climate controls
•18” Wheels
•Audiophile
•Satelite radio
•Reverse Sensing
On Edge SEL, the Seating Flexibility Package ($985US) and Premium Package ($1555) available in the US are standard in Canada. Other options in US including, 18" chrome wheels ($750US), Audiophile ($385US), Sat radio ($195US) and Reverse sensing ($245US) are also standard on Edge SEL in Canada.
When you consider the added features that are standard on both Edge SE and SEL models in Canada, I think that brings prices far closer when you do the conversion.
