  1. I installed the hitch on Saturday and it was fairly easy. I did end-up flattening those dimples and just thought it would be better to do so before reinstalling the shields. The wiring will be next Saturday's project.
  2. I feel your pain. We picked-up our 2010 Edge on 4/30. This past Saturday, with only 193 miles in the ticker, a shopping cart hit the passenger door and inflicted a 1 inch dent right on the body line between the mirror and the door handle... damn. I have a paintless dent repair guy coming to look at it on Wednesday.
  3. I haven't checked yet, but there may be enough room to carve out a space in the underfloor foam for ball mount storage for my hitch. Anyone try this yet?
  4. I ordered the Drawtite 75526 hitch and watched the how-to videos. In the video, there appers to be recessed dimples in the heat shields where the oem bolts are located. The vid shows that the shield is sandwiched between the frame and the hitch when reinstalled. I'm assuming these dimples are compressd flat, but was wondering if I should hammer them flat first before reinstall. Any comments from those who installed a hitch?
  5. Hi all, Just picked-up our '10 ISM Edge SE with convenience pkg on Friday after turning in our '08 Escape lease. This is also a 3 yr lease. We considered another Escape XLT, but the Edge incentives were just too good to pass up. The ride is far superior to the Escape, but I do miss the little extra features in the XLT. But, so far, so good. Lots of good info here... based on experiences in the towing forum, I'm just about to order a Drawtite 75526 class III hitch and the 118430 harness from etrailer.
