    TEST

nothing to see here.... move along.
  5. Picked-up the Edge from service yesterday. From the work order: LABOR & PARTS--------------------------------------------------------- INSTALL VDR FOR INTERMIT STALLING CP9926 CC42 TEST FOR DTC FOUND DTC P0123 PERFORM PINPOINT TEST DV1.DV3.& DV21 WIGGLE ETB HARNESS NO PROBLEM FOUND. 6. Hasn't stalled since 9/2, but had an appointment with the dealer today to install a flight recorder. While in the service bay, they miraculously "found something". They say it could be the trottle body (which I mentioned during the very first visit) or the TB wiring harness. They need to order a new TB, install it, and check for codes. Next appointment Thursday 9/16.
  7. Do you have a before picture? I have the black gauges in my '10 and do not like them at all. There have been several complaints to the NHTSA regarding difficulty viewing the gauges.
  8. You may want to contact Armor-All directly with your concern. http://www.armorall.com/contact/
  9. Yeah, I did that within a few days of my first visit to the dealer. The more complaints submitted to the NHTSA, the better. I googled "2010 ford edge stalling" and found my complaint at http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2010/ford/edge/
  10. Stalled again on 8/28... accelerating from a red light. ... and today, twice.
  11. Picked up our Edge from the dealer today. No trouble found. Crap.
  12. I voted no. I have a Civic and would ever install a hood scoop (or paint the interior).
  13. I just took our 2010 Edge to the daeler Thursday. It started stalling when accelerating from a stop (red lights). It seems to stall when the A/C is on. Luckily, it stalled when the write-up tech when to check it. After he started it, it stalled when he put it in drive. I called for an update on Friday and they couldn't reproduce the problem so they kept it over the weekend. I'll post an update tomorrow.
  14. Here's a thread on how to switch door handles to chrome. Perhaps you could buy used colored handles from someone who switched to chrome. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/1796-exterior-chrome-door-handles/page__hl__%2Bdoor+%2Bhandle
  15. I'm out of ideas. Look for the A/C label on the radiator cover. It will tell you how many pounds of refrigerant required. (I think mine says 1.2 lbs.) If your system is truely empty, and if you figure out your problem, you can calculate how many 12 ozs cans are required to refill it. Also, what kind of changing kit do you have? Post a pic if you can. I bought this Quest gauge/hose to charge our '96 GM and had no issues.
  16. If the pressure went to zero, it sounds like the valve was closed. With the hose assembly disconnected from the vehicle, retract the can piercing needle on the valve turning counter-clockwise. This will allow you to attach the can to the valve without piercing it. This is also the valve's open position. Attach the can to the valve. Attach the connector to the low port. Turn the valve completely clockwise to pierce the can. This is the closed position and will not release refrigerant. Turn the valve counter-clockwise again to release the refrigerant. With the valve facing up, agitate the can slowly by rotating it 90 degrees. The can will get very cold as refrigerant is released. The gauge will waver depending on whether the compressor is running. When done, if the can is not empty, turn the valve completely clockwise to the closed position. Release the connector from the low port. Store the can with the hose assembly attached with the valve in the closed position.
  17. The low pressure port is under the wiper cowling on the passenger side near the firewall. There are a number of how-to videos on the web. Here's a good series of videos: http://www.ehow.com/video_2328375_tools-recharge-auto-ac-system.html
  18. Another option would be to spray them with black Plasti Dip. I saw Plasti Dip used successfully for chrome plastic parts on another of my automotive forums .
  19. I finally got around to this. I used a bread knife for the most part and just broke out what i couldn't cut. It works great and did not compromise the support of the floor/spare cover. I also use a compartment on the right side to store my spare key. If I lose a key somewhere, I won't be stuck. The keypad will get the car open.
  20. I noticed the headrest problem too. I simply reclined the seat another notch. Problem solved.
  21. Here are general instructions on how you could disassemble the tail light fixures. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/lighting/22818-clearing-headlights-pics.html
  22. In another thread, I mentioned that our new Edge with only 193 miles was hit with a shopping cart. Today, I had it repaired using a paintless dent removal guy. He did an awesome job! $75.
  23. Bob is the Oil Guy is a cool website for all things oil. They have several threads with oil filter comparisons.
