  1. Hi everyone, I have a 2010 Ford Edge and I just bought some new wheels that came with TPMS sensors from a 20?? Limited Ford Edge. My question is the new rims I got have black TPMS sensors on them. Does the 2010 have black or blue sensors on them? I've never taken off my OEM tires yet. Just want to double check. Thanks. B.
  2. Sold to me. Great seller and very helpful. Great price too. :hyper:
  3. OPP announced that they will be using the speed enforcement plane this weekend to catch speeders. The plane flys on an angle to the road so you won't be able to see it...unless you have a vista roof..LOL!! Also found this pic of a OPP car and it is functional but mainly as a publicity vehicle.
  4. I'm placing my order for the exact same truck on Saturday. I went with a 2K13, LTD, AWD, TUX BLK / BLK, 301A, CAN TOUR PKG, 20" CHR WHL. No HID's so I'll just drop in some PnP bulbs and ballasts. It shouldn't glare everywhere because they are a projector...kinda. I'm upgrading from a 2010 SEL AWD and the only thing I don't like is they replaced the little blind spot mirrors with that stupid blind spot assist light. I would trust a mirror 10x over a computer system and it's also useful for seeing really far back or if you tow. I hope the gas mileage is what the EPA states it is and I get some more miles on the highway versus the 2010.
  5. I got a hidden hitch class 3 hitch for my 2010 Edge. I like it because you don't have to cut out the bumper for the small OEM class hitch. The hitch also sits very low and tucks up so close to the body you can barely notice it. I suggest hidden hitch over any OEM trailer product any day.
  6. Hi Everyone, I'm sick of looking at the ugly green lighting on my 2010 Edge. I don't know why Ford chose that ugly layout. My 1999 Jetta looks better. I wanted to know if anyone has changed the colour of their gauge cluster and if so how hard was it? Thanks. Brian.
  7. I wonder if I pull the seat all the way back, disconnect the seat belt buckle from the frame and apply marine grease it will finally stop. Reason for marine grease is that it's more water resistant and lasts wayyy longer than regular silicone spray.
  8. Can you find out what the TSB number is? My seat is squeaking again and I want to bring it into the stealership this week for an oil change, tire rotation and to fix the seat again.
  9. Got the truck back from Ford today....PROBLEM FIXED! TSB BABY!! There is a TSB that was just issued 08/25 for this issue. It effects all 2010 Ford Edges made from 01/10 to 06/10. All types of seats (cloth, manual, leather, automatic) and the TSB says that they just have to take off a cover, get access to the seat belt bolt, tighten, and lube some parts with Motocraft lube. I drove it back from the dealership and it didn't squeak at all. I did get the service advisor to print me the TSB. I'll post up the TSB tomorrow at work where I have a scanner.
  10. I have the same problem also. My uncle use to work at a Ford dealer in the bodyshop. He said to leave it because they paint it at the shop and with dust in the air and paint conditions, the match will never be the same as the factory. So I just live with it.
  11. I think I may take mine back to Ford sometime this week and have a technician tighten all the bolts too. If I do it then they will have an excuse not to fix it and say that I "tampered" with it when I was really trying to fix it. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
  12. Lex, I agree that you may or may not need an antiflicker device. This may be more towards Canadians with the DRL. I know for sure that when I hooked up mine with a harness and had the headlights ON they were fine. When I turned them OFF and the DRL was active it was flickering like crazy. I then unplugged the harness and added my antiflicker device and all was well.
  13. I took mine into Yonge-Steeles Ford in Toronto, I told them the problem and they couldn't find it when they took it for a test drive. I'm pretty sure it is comming from the seat belt or seat belt area. I wouldn't doubt that it's the seat rail. I just don't like the thought of my brand new leather seat being ripped apart to fix a squeak. I'm out of the province right now, but when I get back to Toronto I'm gonna tighten every bolt I can find on the seat and see if that fixes it.
  14. Hi Blaze, You will need an antiflicker device shown at the link below. I highly suggest you also get a relay harness to avoid damaging your original wiring in the event of a short or the HIDS draw too much power. http://www.xenon-man.com/Accessory_Canceller_Eliminator.html
  15. My 2010 Ford Edge is experiencing the same problem. It's only 2 months old and the drivers seat is squeaking like a mofo. I wiggle my ass in the seat and I can definitaly hear it. Please provide results from dealership so we know what direction to take. Thanks.
  16. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a rear bumper cargo protector from Ford at the raped price of 98.00 tax included. (Used HST refund cheque) Anyways, I have a black Edge and I put it on around 10 am and squeezed all the air out, took off all the tape and paper and the vinyl looked amazing. It was perfectly smooth and 100% amazing. When I went out to the mall at 1:00pm, I looked at the cover and it was full of bubbles. I touched it and it was scorching hot. How can I fix this and take out the bubbles? It looks like a 16 year old zit faced kid.
  17. I just installed mine the other day. I'm guessing you have a wiring harness for your HID's. Connect the positive and negative to the battery, the toggle on wires plug right into the original socket. I can't really remember right now, but I think the positive lead goes to the yellow wire on the headlight socket. You will also need a capasitor / anti-flicker device. This goes in line with the toggle on wire. The DRL's don't provide enough power to activate the HID's. I hope this helps, if your in Toronto I can install it for you. I just did my fogs and headlights, the fogs were a biatch to install compared to the headlights. Mainly due to wire length and access from the bottom. ** I just saw your in Ottawa, I'll be in Brockville in 2 weeks if you wanna meet there I can install them for you.**
  18. Over the weekend I installed my HID's for the low beams and fog lights. I did need a resistor due to DRL not putting enough wattage out and it started to flicker. I added a anti flicker device (resistor) and it works perfectly. As for the fogs, one good note to point out is that it is extremely cramped trying to get it from the bottom and you have to take off the harness before trying to twist out the bulb. I'll add a pic soon.
  19. I took out my HID retro kit from my old car and I want to put it in my Edge. I know I need H11 bulbs, my question is can I just hook it up directly and it will work? Or do I need a capasitor or something extra to install them?
  20. Has anyone put weathertech digital fit mats and cargo mat in their Edge? If so how do they fit? Any issues?
  21. Hi Cmiles, can you tell me where you got the chrome edging and the step bars from? Also in your instructions for the door handles, it looks like the instructions for the back handles. For the front handles I'm guessing it's the same, how do you remove the cover around the key hole? Thanks.
  22. Hi everyone. I was browsing this forum for problems and ideas before purchasing my new 2010 Edge SEL AWD. I just got it on Wednesday and I love it. I'll be on the forum quite frequently and those that are in Toronto and see me driving a black 2010 edge with licence 4DOOR2NV give me a shout!
