mpsrent
Hello all, I'm replacing the rear hub and bearing on my 2011 AWD 3.5 Edge due to a broken stud and I'd appreciate any guidance regarding the axle nut torque. What I've been able to locate so far is 258 ft lbs, however I would appreciate confirmation that this is correct from anyone with a service manual. Thanks for the help. Gibson17
Hi there, just stopping by to answer your question to post an update to mine. The torque values you are looking for in the ford service manual are: 203ft lbs for the inner nut, and 129ft lbs for the outer nut.The manual also wants you to use the old nut you removed to seat the axle shaft by torqueing it to 203ft lbs first, then removing it and discarding it, and then install your brandy new ford nuts and torque to the above values. I also recommend getting a service manual. I got the whole set on epay for less than $30. Good luck with the job.
