87notch Posted January 27, 2020 Report Share Posted January 27, 2020 Just replaced the water pump on my 2008 which was a a ridiculous idea by ford to begin with. I dropped the engine cradle with suspension and everything still in tact. After the water pump swap I installed everything back into the car and the engine runs like a top. Now the transmission makes a whining sound kinda of like a power steering whine. It only whines after it shifts into 4th and od. I never did anything to the trans during the water pump job so I have no idea where it comes from. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
