Did you you ever resolve the issue when it came back? Curious because I'm having your same initial symptoms? Was it another issue with the ground? So ironically I did nothing other than kinda wiggle the ground a bit (it didnt really move I was just checking mostly if it was loose), and it has NOT returned… I entirely under the assumption that its a ground issue on the battery. I think the engine shakes just right and knocks the ground out for a minute. My ground wire has been tight against the brake fluid canister for years now.
