Davidoo Posted yesterday at 08:48 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:48 PM Getting ready to change the oil on my 22ST and have used the previous drain plug a couple of times. I read somewhere that you should get a new one each time, so I went to the dealer. They handed me this plug in a plastic package that looked completely different in that it was way longer, maybe 3/4 inch. They told me it was a new replacement for the old one because "they had problems with the old one." Not only is it longer, but it has 2 O-rings instead of just one. Guess I will find out tomorrow when I change it. The new one is part number ML3Z-6730-A. The old part was KX6Z-6730-B. Photo attached. Old one is on the left. 1004ron Posted yesterday at 10:17 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:17 PM Keen to hear how the new style works for you. BTW, I have a new spare which I haven't had the need to use because the original is still working perfectly with 116K on the clock.
